Random Thoughts from Melodie

Wednesday, July 20, 2011. I really don't like it when names of things are changed. I'm a firm believe in the old saying, "If it's not broke, don't fix it.". I passed a sign today advertising for a funeral home and prepaying for funeral expenses. Instead of calling it a funeral, they called it a "Remembrance Ceremony". Why not just call it what it is? Like calling used cars "pre-owned". I guess I just don't like to sugar coat things or put "spins" on them. I want things straight forward. Links to this post.

Random Thoughts from Melodie: July 2009

http://www.randomthoughtsfrommelodie.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html

Wednesday, July 22, 2009. Monday her car seat came from Albee Baby. It's so cute I love it! It's very cushiony (I know not a word). It seems more "cushiony" than Conner's was. I've been so proud of Conner! From the moment we found out we were expecting he has been excited! He knew Caroline was going to be a girl and was very excited when we got the confirmation. He has been SUPER excited when we get deliveries. Especially when we come home and they are on the front porch. I hope the excitemen...Caroline ...

Monday, July 11, 2011. One of the things that I love and treat myself too once in a while is Real Simple. Magazine. I always love their ideas of organization, decorating and meal ideas. I just wish I would actually put them into practice. Even if I did put them into practice, my family would probably put them out of practice.lol. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Friday, July 1, 2011. Target bags make the perfect liners for bathroom garbage cans. They are they perfect size. When I figured this out, I threatened my husband with bodily harm if he ever threw one away again. I sort of wish they would sell them that would be awesome! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The McCormick Family Blog: April 2008

http://bradymccormick.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html

The McCormick Family Blog. Thursday, April 17, 2008. Brady and I went to Callaway Gardens with Jeremy's parents for the day. Brady liked the butterfly house. After we left there, we went to the Animal Safari. It was crazy! All of the animals come right up to the tour vans and eat from your hands. Brady loved the giraffes and had a blast! And yes, the giraffe was. Close to our van! Friday, April 11, 2008. Wednesday, April 9, 2008. Anyway, Brady loves playing outside and getting in the boat and Jeremy's tr...

The McCormick Family Blog. Thursday, October 23, 2008. First time in Tuscaloosa. We packed up and went to Tuscaloosa for the day to hang out a few weekends ago. We found a great shady spot under a tree and ate lunch. We weren't sure whether or not Brady would like Big Al, but he LOVED him! Papa (my dad) came to visit a few weekends ago to help celebrate my 30th birthday. :) Here a few pictures from the weekend. We were very lazy and I enjoyed it! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Random Thoughts

Sunday, March 24, 2013. My wife and I went out to lunch today at the local Bakers Square. We're both pretty big fans of the place, and not just because of the pie. Ok, the pie is a major selling point, but seriously it's not JUST because of the pie. The food is pretty solid too. While sitting in our booth, we were witnesses to a woman in her (guessing here) 50's who was out to lunch with her (assuming) husband. The issue was the woman's pants. The funny part to me was when they got up to leave, they walk...

Random Thoughts From Me To You

Tuesday, October 11, 2011. Just a little sample of one of my recent writing submissions. I tentatively turned the key in the lock, half expecting to hear the scrape of the came across the floor as dad shuffled his way to answer my knock. But of course I hadn't knocked, since I knew dad would not be meeting me this time. Or next. Or ever again. As I walked around the empty rooms the reminders of him filled my senses and my mind. The Guidepost. Yogurt before cookies" on the refrigerator. Sported one of tho...

Random Thoughts Of A Mom Of Two

Random Thoughts Of A Mom Of Two. A peek inside the brain of a wife and mom of two happy healthy boys. Sunday, June 17, 2012. If it wasn't for my dear husband, today would be just another day to me. Although I suppose the day belongs to my mother as well, as she was the one who raised me. I have often wondered what it would have been like if I had a father in my life growing up. Would I have been so desperate for a male to love me? Would I have gotten pregnant at 15? Would he even allowed me to date?

Random Thoughts from My ADD Brain

Random Thoughts from My ADD Brain. I can't promise to stay on topic, but I promise you won't be bored. Monday, July 28, 2014. End of the run. Emotionally, I'm still on a high. Physically, my body is killing me. Saturday night was the final performance of Annie. And the last nine weeks have been absolutely fantastic. The cast and crew of the show worked so well together. While I've never questioned my decision to move back to Albert Lea, being a part of this production just kept reinforcing it. I've start...
