Thursday, May 20, 2010. The weather in Palm Springs was just perfect for hanging out and lounging by the pool. Somehow we managed to heat the pool like a jacuzzi, so it wasn't refreshing. After the initial shock, it felt kinda good and there was no rush to get out. And the cabana provided some much needed shade for Eli, so no one was left out of the outdoor festivities. Saturday, March 12, 2011. Asher started out eating everything. fish, lamb, veggies, fruit, etc. but around 2, he suddenly became this picky eater and has limited himself to what feels like nothing. I'm just praying that Eviana doesn't do the same. The other day, she ate a whole bowl of Chicken and Sausage Gumbo, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she won't fall prey to this issue. So what does Asher eat? Cheese and Broccoli "Fondue". ABC Sandwiches (Apples, Bread and Cheese). Four Rices (Dec. '09).

Monday, February 14, 2011. Just tried out a new recipe without almond extract so I could bring the cookies to school for Valentine's Day and I loved how the Martha Stewart one turned out! Very buttery and yummy. 1 1/2 cups (3 sticks) unsalted butter (I actually use salted, because I hate buying two kinds of butter). 2 large egg yolks. 3 3/4 cups sifted all-purpose flour. 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract. My last post was written on the morning Elijah was born. We scheduled an induction, as we did with Ethan, to avoid going into labor in LA traffic (as our hospital is in Orange County, a good 70 miles away). Cheers to Sleep Again. Monday, April 27, 2009. Side note: we have lever handles with an unusual decorative plate and no door safety lock has worked and I tried them all. So I finally got Ed to reverse the lock on the door so we could lock her in. Wow, why didn't I think of this months ago? I did, but eh-hm.I couldn't get a certain someone to help me out. Saturday, August 21, 2010. After the leak was detected and fixed, our general contractor had to rip out the floors to dry the sub-flooring. It took a whole week with dryers and dehumidifiers. My poor kitchen was sick and contained from the rest of the house. Too bad we didn't have advance warning that we wouldn't be able to access the kitchen when we came home. All our food was zoned off. Being that she is half Russian, we really liked the idea of her picking up on Russian at a early age. But we wonder how much good this environment is for her. Izzy's Birthday - Part 1. Sunday, October 04, 2009. We had a combo family birthday celebration for all the kids at Merah's house. Merah made yummy BBQ and we had way too much food on the table. Isabella got to open her presents and help with Ethan's presents. She immediately claimed all presents as her own, in fact, Ethan's presents are still in her room.
