Monday, June 13, 2011. We took our first vacation as a family of four to Sunset Beach with the Christies. We had such a fun, relaxing time. Lucas was still half asleep when he felt the ocean for the first time. He didn't mind it- in fact, I think he kind of liked it! We took a walk on the pier one evening,. Had hammock time,. And we had fun on the beach doing handstands, wheel barrel races, and frisbee toss. We hung out under the house. And ate lots of good food,. Then Lila got ahold of the camera.

Wednesday, July 27, 2011. Time flies when you're having fun. People used to say that to me, but I never really understood- until I had my kids. Lucas is 4 months old. Can you believe it? He had his checkup yesterday and weighs 13 lbs 14.5 oz and is 25.5 inches long. He is in the 25th% for weight and 75th% for weight. His head is huge and is in the 95th% (it holds a big brain). Saturday, November 26, 2011. Today we spent a beautiful day at Pullen Park. I remember going there as a child and we had taken Lila there several years ago. They recently completely renovated the park and rides and we were excited to try it out. Friday, August 5, 2011. Last weekend we went to our second Durham Bulls game of the season. David's company had rented out a terrace box so dinner was provided and we sat at a table. The weather was about as good as we could have hoped- a storm had passed through earlier in the day and "cooled" the air - down from around 100 to maybe around 90. Lila got to meet Scooby Doo and Wool E. Bull and she enjoyed a snow cone. Lucas just kinda hung out and went "flying" with daddy. It was a very fun family evening.
