Trying to keep you updated on what's going on in Pembina and the surrounding area. Tuesday, February 22, 2011. I didn't think, when I started blogging, that this would be an annual event but here we are again. Tonight there was an organizational meeting of the Pembina Flood Committee. 15 people attended. Nancy T and Lisa P from the city office will act as Flood Coordinators. Chairmen of the Flood Committee are Ron M and Kyle D assisted by Joe D. Other duties and committees were set up.

The weather is just beginning to turn cooler and if we have another winter as mild as last year it could be a long time before I'll have to post another flood blog entry.

Trying to keep you updated on what's going on in Pembina and the surrounding area. Thursday, May 5, 2011. They opened the south end of So Pembina today so I was able to go in and take a few pictures. The river is below 50 ft. today. Some men are working on the #3 green. Looking down the #1 fairway. The water is so still the trees are reflected on the #9 fairway. After a year off I'm back again. Thursday, March 21, 2013. Welcome to my blog. I hoped not to have one this year but with all this snow I decided to start one. Yesterday was the first day of spring. I took a drive around town today and took a few pictures for those of you who don't live around here. The National Weather Service revised it's spring flood forecast today. There won't be much more to write. Saturday, May 4, 2013. The Red is at 45.06 ft. The seven day outlook has dropped again to 48.5 ft. After a year off I'm back again. Friday, May 3, 2013. The outlook is brighter. The Red is at 44.7 ft tonight and the seven day outlook was lowered to 49.1 ft. The flood committee met today and decided no action needed to be taken right now. They will meet again on Monday at 4:45. There has been overland flooding in some rural areas. This afternoon we went out to the golf course and helped take the covers off the greens. For those of us who hit to the right on number 5, the ditch it full.
