Thursday, 12 November 2015. Nada, Suzie and Bob Wood, Elder and Sister Simmons eating fruit infused ice cream. They loved it! Next stop the Gannett Colony at Muriwai Beach. It was very windy and a little cool but so beautiful. A Gannett in flight. One of the reasons they nest here is because of the wind current when they are teaching their new baby birds to fly. There are thousands of them now. The information said it began with 50 pairs. You can see the Gannett birds on the tops of the two main ledges.

Monday, 6 July 2015. Wednesday June 24, 2015. On Wednesday we left the meetings at noon and took Elder and Sister Hammond to explore a little of the Auckland area. That is another benefit about being the coordinators. It is our job to entertain the couples while they are here for those couple of days to report if they are leaving or do their training if they are just coming into the mission field. This is a New Zealand Black Bird. A little different from the ones in Utah. After the waterfall we hiked dow...

SpencerNewZealandMission: January 2015

http://www.reedandnada.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html

Monday, 19 January 2015. Kia Ora, today is Tuesday, January 20, 2015. We have been in New Zealand over two months. Sometimes it seems like we have been here a lot longer than that! I am going to blog about New Years and some things that have been going on during January. Looking from Brown's apartment window across the bay to Downtown Auckland. We didn't arrive until dusk and it was fun to watch all the lights come on across the water. It really is a very beautiful skyline. Below they had a clock on the ...

Saturday, 31 October 2015. Saturday, September 26, 2015 we left the house at 8:50 am and headed to Hamilton to the Temple. We have three of our YSA Sisters receiving their Endowment today. They were all in our Temple Preparation class. They are darling girls and ready for this next step in their lives. Seanoa in the middle is one of our YSA going to the Temple for her first time. She is a great young lady. Brother and Sister Tuili'ili. He is the First Counsellor in the Bishopric. Really fun people. When ...

http://www.reedandnada.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html

Thursday, 30 July 2015. Hello everyone. Today I am going to blog about our Self-Reliance Managers Seminar. On Tuesday, July 14, 2015, we had all nine Self-Reliance Managers and the Area Office team join together at the Area Offices for training. It was great to finally meet all them face to face instead of through email and WebEx. We also had Trent over PEF from Salt Lake and Jared working with Self-Reliance from Salt Lake City here to listen and help with things coming from headquarters. Carl Maurer is ...

Living Life and Loving It!

Living Life and Loving It! Thursday, December 23, 2010. A Momma of Five. . . A couple of years ago, I was at an Easter party and a woman said, "You have four? She continued with something like, "Aren't you supposed to have this wild eyed, crazy face look? Friday night: We get home from soccer games a little after 9pm. We pack for our weekend trip to Washington DC. Last minute, we remember to grab our swimming suits that are hibernating in our crawl space and find that our hot water heater has lea...Satur...

Reed and Megan

Sunday, April 26, 2015. I surprised Reed and the kids with a trip to Hawaii this month! It all started back in February when I asked Reed to get some time off in April so we could "go visit my parents." Surprises get pretty complicated when you're an adult - I had to plan, (and convince my husband that I was planning), a whole fake vacation in California. (I'm actually a little disturbed at how adept I became at lying, and how complicated my lies became! But the payoff was worth it. Reed was beyond.

Reed and Nada Spencer

Reed and Nada Spencer. Monday, January 6, 2014. I am going to post about all the busy, exciting events we were involved in during November 2013. Nada with all the tables of books before the students arrived. Reed, Nada and Sister Talataina had them all set up before the Budgetts arrived. We were hiking the tallest peak of Mt. Vaea. About 1/3 of the way up you could see the hospital and our Motootua Chapel. New bananas growing. There are banana trees just growing wherever. Reed and Nada with Apia Harbor i...

reed and nat moved to philadelphia | Tales of our adventures as West Coasters on the East Coast

Reed and nat moved to philadelphia. Tales of our adventures as West Coasters on the East Coast. My story on “why the dog door is going away” or “holy & (! I just woke up in my living room to a raccoon staring at me”. June 16, 2011. I passed out on the living room couch tonight after a long and exhausting day. When i saw it, i gasped and pork chop jumped up. (i think that she thought that it was snert face and didn’t think much of it at first.). Roomy out for the night. So, the raccoon ran out and i ran i...

Wednesday, June 10, 2015. First Winter in Dallas. After living in Provo for 7 years, it has been a very welcome change to have blizzard free winters here in Dallas! If you come visit, we will take you to see these for sure :-). And here is our 2013 Christmas picture taken on the balcony of our beautiful apartment. What a view huh? And of course, what is Christmas without some Confit de Canard? For New Years Eve, we stuck with our regular tradition of fondue and video games on the old Nintendo. Since movi...

Wednesday, December 10, 2014. These are a little early but I needed them done so I can make a baptism announcement. I finally got Makayla out for her birthday pictures! I can't believe this girl is 10! She is such a good helper and is a great big sister when she wants to be. She loves learning and loves going to school. She is kind and creative and loves to ask questions. We love this girl! Birthday date with Adam.at the last minute, he decided instead of lunch, he wanted to see The Maze Runner. So good ...
