Reluctantly Bionic

Friday, February 1, 2013. Happy Anniversary to me! So I guess it's a time for self assessment. How did I cope during the last year, and what do I want to accomplish during the next year? Here I am, scars and all! Sometimes every 5000 years or so, it's a good idea to take stock of what you've accomplished and what you still want to achieve. And if you're wondering what to give me for Hip Day, I think a big Hip Hip Hooray will suffice! Monday, December 31, 2012. Why did I say that? If you had a little plan...

Reluctantly Bionic: I Feel A Song Coming On

http://reluctantlybionic.blogspot.com/2012/04/i-feel-song-coming-on.html

Tuesday, April 24, 2012. I Feel A Song Coming On. I had my last physical therapy session today. My therapist told me that I was slightly ahead of where I should be at this point in my recovery even though I had a seven week set back because of the femur fracture. He said that I made up for my "lost" rehab time and I'm ahead of schedule with my healing. Really? Wow I don't feel like an overachiever. But if he says I am, then. I totally rock! I'm ready for my close-up! Purple Gurl (aka Heather B).

Reluctantly Bionic: February 2012

http://reluctantlybionic.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html

Monday, February 27, 2012. On Wisdom and Other Nonsense. In Chinese and Haiwaiian cultures, the green sea turtle, or Honu, represents wisdom. When you are in their presence you feel a sense of peace that can only come from being one with the earth. They radiate a feeling of calm acceptance, of ancient knowledge. They seem to know their place in the Universe. The venerable ones bringing their wisdom to the present. No regrets. So, I will stop worrying about what I could have done or should have down d...

Reluctantly Bionic: January 2012

http://reluctantlybionic.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html

Tuesday, January 31, 2012. Fun little conversation with the surgical administrator today. She called to make sure my will and living will are on file. A little morale boost before surgery? The medical team has told me that after I check in, I will head to pre-op where I'll put on a hospital gown (love those! Sorry Kevin.) You'd think by this point they would have figured out you're pretty darn committed. Sounds like a loophole to me. I'll have to investigate that further. Sunday, January 29, 2012. Nothin...

Tuesday, November 27, 2012. Thank you. thank you very much. It's been a while since you've heard from me. Were you wondering, where in the world is Devra? I've got a new surgeon. Remember Dr. Smiley? I hope none of you are going under the knife, but if you are, please ask this question BEFORE you schedule your surgery. A good follow up would be, "And how many of these were complication free? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Thank you. thank you very much.

Reluctantly Bionic: March 2012

http://reluctantlybionic.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html

Friday, March 30, 2012. To Everything There Is A Season. If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant; if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome". - Anne Bradstreet. In memory of Walter Degginger 1916 - 2012. Monday, March 26, 2012. Just Put One Foot In Front of The Other. Wonder of wonders, I'm walking again! Me: How do you know if you're a pirate? Fred: You think, therefore you ARRR! Me: What do you call a pirate with two eyes and two legs? I'm back behi...

reluctantly in a sentence | simple examples

In A Sentence .org. The best little site that helps you understand word usage with examples. Reluctantly in a sentence. I use the term reluctantly but truly - it is rebellion! Rebellion against the noblest government man ever framed for his own benefit and for the benefit of the world. As much as the word reluctantly rubs me the wrong way, I still havent heard this: Sorry. He looked puzzled, wary, at this apparent change of topic, but he said, drawing out the word reluctantly, Yes. Popular Words This Week.

Reluctantly Adultish

PhD student life, fat fashion, and the occasional feminist rant. Thursday, August 13, 2015. Requiem for a Very Good Dog. Zelda left us in April. It was April 3, to be precise. Her kidneys had deteriorated beyond repair and she was suffering. It was clear that it was time to say goodbye. She was only 8 and a half. It was the hardest thing I've ever had to do, but it was the right thing to do. I nursed her through a bout with kennel cough (props to my mom for helping a LOT with that). I took her to Pet...

Before I turn 30…. Save the Cookbooks Project. A Year of Dinners: March. April 17, 2012, 7:25 pm. Chicken noodle soup, two ways. April 17, 2012, 2:45 pm. My February dinner recap. Alluded to two different chicken noodle soups, both of which start very similarly – a whole chicken in a big pot of water – but aside from their beginnings and the fact that both soups have noodles, the two couldn’t be more different.
