The Flip Flop Girls: November 2013

http://flipflopsx3.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html

The Flip Flop Girls. Friday, November 15, 2013. Nothing Exciting - Just About Walking. This morning while dropping off the girls at school, I had, what I thought, was an interesting short conversation with a lady. Since there are sooo many more vehicles dropping off kids in the morning, the school started having parent volunteers help out in the morning during the drop-off time. They help direct the traffic and get the kids out of the vehicles, so that the vehicles can keep moving more efficiently. It ha...

The Flip Flop Girls: DIY - Outdoor Swing Canopy

http://flipflopsx3.blogspot.com/2014/06/diy-outdoor-swing-canopy.html

The Flip Flop Girls. Friday, June 6, 2014. DIY - Outdoor Swing Canopy. I don't remember how long we've had our outdoor swing, but it was definitely showing its age. Last year we had to replace the cushions, and this year the canopy needed replacement. The big question was do I try to make one myself or find a replacement on the internet? After searching, I did find a possible replacement, but it was out of stock and with shipping added to the cost, the price was a bit high. The top of the canopy. Do You ...

The Flip Flop Girls: August 2014

http://flipflopsx3.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html

The Flip Flop Girls. Wednesday, August 13, 2014. 1st Day of School. Summer quickly came to an end this past week with the start of school. This school year brings us a. And a 1st grader. It's so hard to believe that this is Allyson's final year at Model Elementary! It seems like it was only yesterday that I walked Allyson to her first day of kindergarten while pushing Janae and Kaycie in the double stroller. AND this is the last year that all three girls will ever be in the same school building!

The Flip Flop Girls. Thursday, August 6, 2015. First Day of School. Today marks the start of yet another school year for the girls. I now have a 6th grader, a 3rd grader and a 2nd grader! It's so hard to believe that Allyson has finally reached middle school, but I guess you can't stop time from marching on :). Here are a few pictures from this morning. I told them to be silly . . . Can you tell who the one who said she wasn't nervous but was excited? Time to be more proper :). My Middle School girl.

The Flip Flop Girls: October 2013

http://flipflopsx3.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html

The Flip Flop Girls. Wednesday, October 30, 2013. I don't know about you, but it seems like every time we head out on vacation, at some point I think about this . . . about how big the world really is. Have you ever thought about it? Yes, I know the world is a big place, but when we are so in the routine of home, of our neighborhood, of our town, we can easily forget how big the world is or how small we really are in the scheme of things. Are they heading to work? To see family who live far away? Another...

The Flip Flop Girls: January 2014

http://flipflopsx3.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html

The Flip Flop Girls. Thursday, January 30, 2014. I noticed the other month that Allyson had quite a few necklaces hanging in her small jewelry box. Her jewelry box is a very nice one, but is not the best place to hang necklaces as it is a bit too short. It also wasn't very easy to see what necklaces you had, let alone to keep them untangled. All I needed was a smaller sized bulletin board, push pins, some fabric and a stapler. And today I found a small piece of material at Walmart for only $1.00.

The Flip Flop Girls. Saturday, May 30, 2015. The End of an Era. It's hard to believe that the days of attending elementary school for Allyson have come to a close. I can easily remember that first day of school and how excited and nervous I was that my baby girl was starting school, and now her last day of 5th grade is just hours away! First day of Kindergarten - August 2009. Coming home from school (one of the first few days of school). A picture review of the last 6 years:. The Art of Simple.

The Flip Flop Girls: Dead or Alive?

http://flipflopsx3.blogspot.com/2014/09/dead-or-alive.html

The Flip Flop Girls. Tuesday, September 9, 2014. This morning as I was sitting on the couch, I happened to glance outside like I do quite often when relaxing or watching TV while on the couch. This time, however, when I looked at the trees I felt that the Holy Spirit was showing me something. I'll try my best to explain :o). From the outside, the trees look great . . . tall, green and quite nice to look at too. But if you venture to the inside, well, it's a whole different kind of story. There you have i...

January 15, 1930 February 21, 2011. She watched by my cradle through long, sleepless nights. She taught me to pray as she knelt by my side. She guarded my childhood, and all through the years. She echoed my laughter, she counted my tears. In the arms of my mother, I came to believe. That God sent an angel to watch over me. She taught me the meaning of courage and faith. She taught me to live with the Lord as my strength. She taught me to follow the pathway he marked. But God sent an angel to watch over me.
