We have periodic calls with the Dien family and would like to let everyone know how much of a blessing the Bakery has been to the community of Rehoboth. This sustainable business has maintained the Dien family who house many orphan children and allows them to continue the care and compassion ministry through Block-E. Monday, May 26, 2014. George attends CHE training in Cape Town, South Africa. We were able to send George to attend CHE training with Bridges of Hope in South Africa. We are very excited for the Dien family to learn that others believe in sustainability just as they do. Monica and Wood met with Bridges of Hope to see if we could get information on what it would take for us to setup a non-profit focused on the Dien family and Rehoboth Namibia. Based on their own focus on sustainability and George's vision for sustainability we have agreed to investigate if the Dien family ministry would be a good fit for Bridges of Hope. A bakery is planned for 2007-2008 and is very close to being complete. The bakery already has one major vendor ready to purchase bread on a regular basis. The proceeds of the garden project are used to help those with the highest risk. These include OVC (Orphans and Vulnerable Children), those with HIV/AIDS, Women and Windows, the elderly and the disabled. We cannot do this alone and would ask you to support this effort. Through prayer and the good news of Jesus Christ, all things are possible.

The Feed My Lambs care and compassion ministry is currently sustained through donations and is working towards being self sustaining through the Garden Project. The garden project started in a 20 x 20 meter area next to George Dien's house. Children play in the rain with the original garden in the background. In 2004 he leased a open plot of land across the road from his house. Part of this land had been previously used as a land fill.
