ReoEvergreen: June 2009
http://reoevergreen.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 29, 2009. George prayed Psalm 32 8-10 with us after learning that the bill would be paid in full after many years of struggle. I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;. I will counsel you and watch over you. Do not be like the horse or the mule,. Which have no understanding. But must be controlled by bit and bridle. Or they will not come to you. Many are the woes of the wicked,. But the LORD's unfailing love. Surrounds the man who trusts in him. Tuesday, June 23, 2009.

We have periodic calls with the Dien family and would like to let everyone know how much of a blessing the Bakery has been to the community of Rehoboth. ReoEvergreen: September 2009
http://reoevergreen.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Friday, September 25, 2009. Things are moving along and there is not a lot of news. There is little planting as the water is too expensive. There are still ongoing discussions with town council to lower the rate. Currently farmers outside the town borders pay about 1% of the cost that Reoevergreen is being charged. This when the lake only a few miles away is overflowing and the water is being let out of the dam in a flood. George and Anna Marie are still doing care and compassion, but it has been reduced...

ReoEvergreen: November 2009
http://reoevergreen.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 5, 2009. I spoke with Alan this morning in Namibia. I tried to take quick notes as we were speaking and this is the news. When I called he was with Martha watching the 2007 video Kristy made. The internet card is working. Some hickups, but working overall. Things are going good. Making progress, but more we could do. Trying to narrow it down and focus. Tax connect, waiting for accountant research on running the business so far. It looks like only N$500 to get the accounting rolling.

ReoEvergreen: Rehoboth 2014 Update
http://reoevergreen.blogspot.com/2014/12/rehoboth-2014-update.html
Monday, December 29, 2014. Where We Have Been. Individuals from the small team were able to provide some financial assistance and the result was a successful bread bakery which was able to remain sustainable for over 5 years. In late 2013 another bakery opened in their small town and began to sell bread as a loss leader to attract customers to their other merchandise. The Diens could no longer compete and were eventually forced to close the doors of their bakery. Where We Are Now. Where we are going.

ReoEvergreen: Dien family update
http://reoevergreen.blogspot.com/2014/01/dien-family-update.html
Saturday, January 25, 2014. Monica visited Rehoboth on the tail end of a RockHarbor trip to South Africa. The Bakery recently failed when a non-profit bakery started nearby and has been selling bread for under cost. We have been looking at ways to help the Dien family ministry become sustainable again. Please keep them in your prayers as it has been a difficult year. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Website ( http:/ www.bridgesworldwide.org/namibia/. View my complete profile.

ReoEvergreen: February 2014
http://reoevergreen.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 24, 2014. Reoevergreen and Bridges of Hope. Monica and Wood met with Bridges of Hope to see if we could get information on what it would take for us to setup a non-profit focused on the Dien family and Rehoboth Namibia. Based on their own focus on sustainability and George's vision for sustainability we have agreed to investigate if the Dien family ministry would be a good fit for Bridges of Hope. It has always been our hope that the CHE program. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Wednesday, May 13, 2009. Conference Call Notes - May. One of the conference call members is part of a group that reviews non-profits and help mentor. We are looking at creating a non-profit in order to try and raise money to help pay the water bill. Delays with town council are tough on George. They say one thing and do another and this has been very frustrating. George has been trying to barrow the N$50000 (around US$6000 conversion to US$. To pay the water bill that is due June 30. This blog is maintai...

ReoEvergreen: July 2009
http://reoevergreen.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 15, 2009. Water bill mostly paid. The water bill was mostly paid. There were some mixups with the wire, but it finally got figured out. Some of the money had to be used to fix an oven at the bakery, but the majority of the bill was paid and town council gave George more time to pay. We think it will be paid in the next few months.
