Welcome to my Blog!

Welcome to my Blog! Monday, December 12, 2011. This a an abstract series of sketches of my cousin, Tucker. I like that you can tell what it is but it still has an abstract quality about it. (8x12). Saturday, November 12, 2011. This is the first independent piece I did. It was super similar to the last incaustic piece and I consider it more of a continuation of the last thing I did (the tryptic). Wednesday, October 26, 2011. Friday, October 14, 2011. Welcome to my Blog!: Butterfly

http://www.rhhsartarib.blogspot.com/2011/11/butterly.html

Welcome to my Blog! Saturday, November 12, 2011. This is the first independent piece I did. It was super similar to the last incaustic piece and I consider it more of a continuation of the last thing I did (the tryptic). November 18, 2011 at 6:06 PM. I really like the bright, vibrant colors you used in this and how it goes along perfectly with the feel of the butterflies. I also love how you used real leaves in it. It gives it an earthy feel. Welcome to my Blog!: October 2011

http://www.rhhsartarib.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html

Welcome to my Blog! Wednesday, October 26, 2011. This is by far my favorite project yet. I really like how it turned out. This was a Jasper Johns-inspired wax encaustic triptych. I used real pieces of nature. Friday, October 14, 2011. This was an impasto painting. I liked this project because the impasto gel was fun to experiment with. I wish that my composition had been a bit different but I like the colors and patterns I selected. Sunday, October 9, 2011. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Welcome to my Blog!: Remember

http://www.rhhsartarib.blogspot.com/2011/10/remember.html

Welcome to my Blog! Sunday, October 9, 2011. This is an assemblage inspired by Robert Rauschenberg. I really loved this project and I was really willing to work hard on it to make it look as good as possible. I liked the vintage feel to this piece and hope to do something like this again soon. October 9, 2011 at 6:19 PM. Agreed. Ive been pondering doing this again on a smaller scale. You think the class still has motivation for these assemblages? October 10, 2011 at 2:13 PM. Audrey Grace: November 2011

http://rhhsartaudreym.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html

I am experimenting with art this semester. Friday, November 18, 2011. Well the picture is really bad but it's a work in progress so I will get a better one later. I don't like this one that much because I should have added something else to it besides just found papers. I also wish I had done something to make it more interesting because it looks very monotone. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Artists Who Inspire Me. Rock Hill H.S. View my complete profile. http://rhhsartaudreym.blogspot.com/2011/09/room-34.html

I am experimenting with art this semester. Thursday, September 29, 2011. I really loved this assignment. It was inspired by Robert Rauschenberg and I had a lot of fun doing the background. The box around the key was very hard to cut but I think the work really paid off. September 29, 2011 at 6:14 PM. October 9, 2011 at 4:54 PM. I really love this particular part of your piece. The key really stands out with the frame and newsprint around it but this section doesnt overshadow the rest of the piece.

In Art 4 I plan to sucessfully experiment with new mediums, and expand my experience. Thursday, October 6, 2011. This project is by far my favorite. The colors and objects work together. while I was working on my piece I was really afraid that the ideas wouldn't work together well. but in the end it all just really fit together. October 9, 2011 at 5:08 PM. The glass really adds to this piece. I think the glass actually completed the work. October 10, 2011 at 3:13 PM. October 13, 2011 at 7:03 PM.

Alex's Art

Hi this is Alex. I am in Art 3-2d design and hope to create drawings and paintings. One day I hope to be a graphic artist or concept artist. Friday, May 22, 2009. I think this piece turned out really well. I used a technique where i pealed up rubber cemment from painted strips of paper , and then painted them again. The found paper I used were from an old music book, and they are in 3 pieces, in order for it to qualify for a triptych. Friday, April 24, 2009. The Next Backsteet Boys. Sunday, March 22, 2009.
