Life - quite the adventure: March 2012
http://mychaordiclife.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 12, 2012. Grateful for the gift of today. Life is short. I've learned that all too well over the past 12 hours. God has gifted us this moment and maybe a few or many others here on earth, but all we have is this instance, what we are living RIGHT now. I hate to admit. That I take these moments for granted all too often. Those opportunities to sing another lullaby, do another round of Eskimo. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Life - quite the adventure. Life - quite the adventure: June 2011

Thursday, June 23, 2011. Bear Creek Nature Center. Yesterday the kids and I headed out to Bear Creek Nature Center for a little education at the center, a picnic lunch, and then a hike to follow. The kids loved the nature center with all the hands-on learning. I think we all most enjoyed the honey bee exhibit. They were fascinated with the process and I loved reading that female bees are the only worker bees.I guess that goes for most species. Smiles, and only one "take! Large mufflers, is a sports car, ...

Wednesday, January 18, 2012. I know, it’s been a ridiculously LONG time since I’ ve. Let’s just say my bonbons and soap operas are keeping me far too busy to even begin thinking about blogging. Actually, I do. About it often, but I just don’t do it. So, in hopes of having some laughable memories for years to come, here are some of the recent quotes heard in our home:. Earlier today, Elyse was in the bathroom and hollered her usual, “Will somebody please wipe my bottom? It was just too comical. BEAUTIFUL ...

Life - quite the adventure: May 2012

Saturday, May 19, 2012. Last week I spent a good part of a day planning out our summer - from booking some childcare for crucial workdays to marking all of the Colorado Free Days for museums, gardens, etc.on my calendar. It felt good to have a few things nailed down, but I sure do look forward to the flexibility and spontaneity of summer! It was a great reminder that we were created to be creators. Our creator, the creator of the universe, created each one of us uniquely, in His image. The End of an Era.

Thursday, February 28, 2013. Ace is seven today! Kurt and I repeatedly say, "Ace is SPECIAL! Sometimes we're being funny because he says something a bit. off. But truly, God gave this kid an extra dose of "special! We are amazed by him and honored to be his parents! In his honor, I thought I'd post what Kurt and I wrote in his birthday card. It brought tears to my eyes to hear him read it out loud to all of us - just claiming who he is in our eyes and in the eyes of His Heavenly Father. My words to Ace:.

Saturday, January 1, 2011. Yes, that was my child. While at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo with the entire DWT extended family on PopPop's birthday, my sweet little girl proved she knew her anatomy and that this family doesn't have "special names" for our body parts. The whole crowd was having fun watching, imitating, and hoping to get the orangutans to imitate our actions, when all of a sudden my very enthusiastic, loud daughter shouted in a high pitched, excited voice, "Mom, he has a 'bagina' just like me!

Thursday, May 26, 2011. Last night Ace came up to me while I was getting the last of the dinner on the table and said, very excitedly (no surprise there) and seriously "Mom, mom! Confirming a "mother's helper" for my summer work days. A visit from Megs and Mahlia. Fun reading to and from Elyse. A REAL nap for Elyse. Coming from a three-...
