Exhibition – Noyers sur Cher, France. During August 2013 I shared an exhibition with Jérome Hebert a sculptor who lives locally. The exhibition space is a Romanesque church on the edge of Noyers sur Cher (Loire et Cher), France. There are exhibitions during the summer months and ours was open for two weeks; we had around 320 visitors in total. Autumn in the Touraine. Exhibition – Cabinet Holstein, Tours, France. Like last year, I submitted a picture to the annual photographic exhibition at the Pen’rallt Gallery Bookshop in Machynlleth. This amazing bookstore in the heart of Wales is run by a very enterprising couple and it’s well worth a visit if you’re interested in photography (or not) and are in the area. I moved from Birmingham UK in 2003 and now live permanently in France. To be more exact I live in the Touraine. This is located in the centre west of the country and, as its name suggests it’s the area centred around the city of Tours. Archive for May, 2013. Boating on the river Loire. Amboise from the air. One evening last summer we went boating down the Loire. We started at Amboise below the chateau (pictured above as we started out) at around 20.00h. We were ferried down the river for about 10km, shared a picnic on-board and returned to Amboise at around 22.30. It was a pleasant July evening and the gentle slow-flowing river offered lots of opportunities to take photos. The sun began to set and the light faded….
