Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble." James 1:27. Wednesday, June 20, 2012. Waiting for Baby Girl! So, that one really doesn't count! We were out of the county in Cabo, Mexico and I have to admit that I was a little anxious hoping to receive an email with the face of our baby girl. But, it didn't happen and in my head, I knew it wasn't going to happen, but . . . the heart was longing! Oh, how we love you already baby girl! Aug 8, 2011.

The McGowan Family's Adventures, from A to Z. July 1, 2012. Middot; by killeenmcg. Middot; in Gratitude. Middot; 2 Comments. This week was a reminder of how all of it can so easily be swept away. How one can go from a very comfortable-seeming life, to almost nothing to her name. Thankfully, they got out just fine. For shock value, here’s what they found when they were finally allowed to return home. Until it happens. To a friend. To family. To me. To you. The Diane and Kitty Paton Fund. Beautifully writt...

Path to Acacia | Our Wall
https://killeenmcgowan.wordpress.com/path-to-acacia
The McGowan Family's Adventures, from A to Z. Path to Acacia came to mean a lot of things over the past two years. Most literally, it was what we dubbed the span of time that it took to have our second daughter, Acacia, join our family. That path wound us through:. I always knew inside of me that I wanted to adopt. Patrick did too. But what did that feeling inside of us look like on the outside? Were we ready to go from being a family of three to a family of four? In the middle of the process, Ethiopia u...

Our Journey to Ethiopia: Why Adopt?
http://andiamyours.blogspot.com/p/why-we-do-what-we-do.html
Our Journey to Ethiopia. A story only God could write. A video of our journey. My eyes have been opened to the devastating statistics of Ethiopia, and orphans worldwide. The reality of the number of children without a family or a home is haunting. The need is great. There are over 147 MILLION orphans worldwide. A number far too great to comprehend. God has called us to adopt. I whole heartedly believe this is HIS will for our lives. Because, My life is not my own. I belong to my faithful Savior. And I wo...
