Well, about me, anyway. My name is Joe Devlin. I established Alameda Car Works in 2007, but this isn't my first foray into model railroad manufacturing. The Iron Pony cataloged a full line of locomotives, rolling stock, and track. For locomotives we started with an EMD GP9 and eventually produced F7 A and B units, as well as a small industrial switcher. Friday, September 01, 2006. After being dropped off by the Confederation Bridge shuttle from New Brunswick I had a snack and then set out to explore the island. I had left Vancouver island almost three months ago and now after crossing the entire continent by bicycle I was finally back on another island. Riding in Quebec
Thursday, August 10, 2006. My french was terrible but it was enough and much better than nothing. I rode a very short day that day and gradually more the next day. I was then back at 150km a day and making my way out to the Gaspesie peninsula of Quebec. I was back on the ocean with fresh clean air in my face and always with the nostalgic scent of salt and sea weed. For awhile there, he was going super. Well and I think that's because we were jumping and doing XC schools and going to horse shows. He was interested. It was fun for him.
