Make Mine Mike: October 2004
http://makeminemike.blogspot.com/2004_10_01_archive.html
I type, I gripe, I hype. Friday, October 29, 2004. My dad made these - just some cardboard boxes painted metallic silver with drawn-on dials and reflectors attached. But even to this day, me and my big sister think these were pretty cool costumes. Happy Halloween. Posted by Michael : 10:21 AM 0 comments. Thursday, October 28, 2004. Here's another freaky pic from the ol' archives. Not a self-portrait - I can't snarl that good. Don't worry, I'm better now. Electroshock therapy does wonders. Stuart’s anothe...

Evil Recipes: Two cold-weather drinks: Feuerzangebowle and Glühwein
http://evilrecipes.blogspot.com/2006/11/two-cold-weather-drinks.html
Monday, November 27, 2006. Two cold-weather drinks: Feuerzangebowle and Glühwein. This is more fun than Glühwein, but more work too! 2 Bottles red wine (ie: Bordeaux). 1 sugar cone (or sugar cubes) (250 g). 1/2 Liter Rum (over 50 Vol. %). Always use a funnel to pour the rum onto the sugar - pouring right out of the bottle is dangerous. If the spices, etc. are bound in a net bag, they are easier to remove later. Orangen und Zitronenschale (ungespritzt! 2 Bottles of Red Wine.

Wednesday, August 06, 2008. Aka Beet Roesti, from Mark Bittman's wonderful book "How to cook everything". 1 to 1.5 lbs beets. 1 teaspoon coarsely chopped fresh rosemary. Trim the beets and peel them as you would potatoes; grate them in a food processor or by hand. Begin preheating a medium to large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Toss the grated beets in a bowl with the rosemary and salt, then add about half the flour; toss well, add the rest of the flour, then toss again.

Evil Recipes: Fifty-dollar Hamburger
http://evilrecipes.blogspot.com/2006/12/fifty-dollar-hamburger.html
Monday, December 18, 2006. This recipe is from the Air Canada in-flight magazine in Novemeber 2006. It is an exercise in gilding the lily. Any two of wild mushrooms, cognac, stilton, foie gras, truffles, and fancy herby salad would be a good addition to a hamburger; all of the above is just plain ridiculous. 2 handfuls wild mushrooms (shiitake, morel, chanterelle), sliced into 1/4 inch strips. 1 T fresh thyme, stemmed. 1 1/2 oz cognac. 3 oz foie gras, divided into 4 pieces. 4 oz Stilton, crumbled. And an...

Evil Recipes: Buffalo Chicken Dip
http://evilrecipes.blogspot.com/2006/09/buffalo-chicken-dip.html
Monday, September 18, 2006. 2-3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts. 8 oz package (brick, not bucket) of Philadelphia Cream Cheese, softened. 1/2 jar Marie's Chunky Blue Cheese Salad Dressing. 1/2 to 1 full bottle Buffalo Wings Sauce (to taste and consitency). Optional: Tobasco sauce (if you use Mild Wing sauce). Men LOVE this dip. Far less fatty than regular buffalo wings with the skins on. And no nasty piles of bones to clean up. Prepared with pure evil by Cinnamon @ 2:52 PM.
