Monday, March 31, 2008. How not to get where you want to go (Especially with your luggage). If you haven't worked it out yet and haven't been following the news, we managed to be some of the first passengers to fly though BA's. New terminal 5 at Heathrow. To the computer system to the brand new baggage system shutting down in the early afternoon (more on that later). Rather than reverse the 30 m we needed. Starting to bring a long story short, we arrived. Norway: Part 3 - Walk in the snow. Go for a walk!

Saturday, January 3, 2009. New Year's Eve with Marianne and Luke, we wanted to push the envelope a little. We decided to do an Iron Chef! Luke, Luisa and I picked the ingredients and judged and then Llew and Marianne cooked together. Not a competition, just a challenge. So the ingredients were decided Tuesday night - Macadamia nuts and lychees. Wednesday saw shopping then chopping! Start with the stock. Pork and lychees - ready to be made into something marvelous. Thursday, December 27, 2007. Christmas day dawned bright, sunny and early. at 9:30am! We were excited to get into opening our presents. I went first and got a cute, cat ring stand from Welly. Welly then tried to guess. Just what he always wanted! Welly also got my bracelet fixed that had been broken for months and I had forgotten about. So special, but he hid it in a bottle of shells. Thursday, January 24, 2008. Yep, it got colder. Big green Norwegian feather jacket time (and that was actually warm). Oh well, Monday is supposed to be 45F (7.2C) so that is bearable except it is supposed to rain! Friday, January 18, 2008. It's been a while since posting, so I thought I'd give an update. Monday, April 27, 2009. Pizza Oven - Finally. After digging out the hole a while ago, it was finally time for the first working bee. I'll let the photos tell the story of the laying of the slab. The slab was laid and then sat there for a few months. It was "drying out". Next working bee was the brick laying. Thanks to the 'bring-a-brick" party, we were well supplied. Sunday, November 9, 2008. Couple of weeks ago, fine, warm, cockatoos, cat. Nice sunset with only a little haze and smoke. Then some more smoke came. Really red, but hard to breathe! Started getting so bad that we couldn't see the city. No more red sunset - not really any sunset at all. The only hope was rain, but clouds come and go, no rain. In the end, there was a total fire ban and it was really choking. This was about the worst on Saturday evening after more smoke blew in and settled in the valley.

Friday, August 29, 2008. Live-blogging the move (as per Normal). 8am - Llew unplugs the TV, stereo and Xbox. 8:02 - Llew complains about how heavy the kitchen cabinet is. That's called good quality! 8:23 - Peanuts is not happy as the beds are cleared. 8:51 - Llew starts sneezing from dust. 8:52 - Many boxes moving downstairs. 9am - With cheering from Alice we pause to look around. Still so much stuff! 9:30 - HOT. Pepsi. Cars getting loaded. Waiting to get truck. The start of the move. Not even a mouse.

Monday, December 21, 2009. Beginning of the end of the blog. Well, this will be the second last post. Llew will also do one soon. It has been a wonderful time in our lives to do this blog. Going to the States was great and I hope everyone enjoyed reading about it here. Then moving to Rockhampton was a big change and had its good parts and challenges. But now it is all over.
