Along the Central Line: Many a true word is spoken in jest

Along the Central Line. Life in general from someone beyond the western extremities of London's Central Line. A bias towards musings on transport and travel. Saturday, August 09, 2014. Many a true word is spoken in jest. Apparently the phrase is derived from one originally written by Geoffrey Chaucer in the 14th Century. Anyhow, it is most apposite in respect of the following, which I re-found today. Corporate life is often completely bonkers. Mine is. In the beginning was the plan. The new plan will pro...

Along the Central Line. Life in general from someone beyond the western extremities of London's Central Line. A bias towards musings on transport and travel. Sunday, October 20, 2013. In my experience, it is fairly rare to get sight of a complete rainbow. Even more so to get a complete picture. Late this afternoon, there was a fantastic complete arch of a rainbow in the Wendover area of Rural Buckinghamshire. Has a much better picture. Of the same rainbow taken at nearby Little Kimble. Long list of Labels.

Along the Central Line. Life in general from someone beyond the western extremities of London's Central Line. A bias towards musings on transport and travel. Saturday, March 29, 2014. I was somewhat amused to see this piece of paper posted to the inside of the cafe door at Leamington Spa station, earlier this morning. It is possible that the door lock was broken, but I would put money on the reality being that "Technical Difficulties" really meant "We don't have a key". Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Along the Central Line. Life in general from someone beyond the western extremities of London's Central Line. A bias towards musings on transport and travel. Tuesday, February 25, 2014. Random musings about running a railway. I am generally a real fan and advocate of the train services offered by Chiltern Railways. From this starting point, I do however try to remain objective about my experiences and have, on occasion, been openly critical about some aspects of what they do. A little bit of background.

Saturday, July 08, 2006. July 7, 2006. Somewhere over the North Pole. It takes quite a while to fly to China. Right now I’m 30,000 ft over the Greenland cursing Continental Airlines’ movie selection. However, I’m also thinking about the possibilities that this trip has for the school. I’ve got a good feeling that if we can come to some type of understanding between Nanjing AV and Vermont Commons that this marks a start of a wonderful relationship. Posted by Rob Skiff @ 4:56 PM. Robskins Review | A diehard Redskins Fan's take on just about everything

A diehard Redskins Fan's take on just about everything. Peyton Manning Era Over? September 13, 2011. As a football fan, I’m worried about Peyton. His laser-rocket arm. Helped to define what teams look for and even mean when they say “franchise quarterback”. Now, if I were a Colts’ fan I’d be worried. About this season, next season, and the next few seasons after that. PS Take the time to read the article. There are a lot of telling things from Polian. A Robskin Review: Is Cam the Man?
