Adventures in Africa...
Sunday, January 18, 2009. A change will do you good. And follow my weekly adventures (at least, I’ll be aiming for once a week). I've been back in the US for ten days and South Africa already feels like a distant memory ( a very sunny and relaxing memory! Now, don't get me wrong; I'm thrilled to be back. it's just that my head is spinning. Car? 8217; chap...

Short Drive
Saturday, September 29, 2012. Last week we went to a weeknight festival on the square - food trucks, live music, vendors, balloons, etc. The girls are always pretty worn out after school, but we braved the crowds and potential tantrums and headed up there anyway. The girls loved it of course. But as often tends to happen, I think Roger and I enjoy the idea of the event more than the actual event. I laughed, "You think? When are they going to stop doing the exact opposite of whatever we tell them? Better ...

Korea
Thursday, 21 February 2013. Wednesday, 17 October 2012. Https:/ maps.google.co.kr/maps? Chuseok as far as I can gather is a kind of harvest festival at the end of September and the Koreans do what most people do on holidays and eat everything. What this means for foreigners however is time off ,which is a rare commodity. At this time the weather is great too as it has stopped being so humid and raining but it's still hot. There was also and Okktoberfest while we were there. This was slightly odd but ...

Reflections on life's journey. To know Jesus Christ and to make Him known. April 3, 2014 by robyninnz. My question is how to know God’s will in a situation? How to know what He would have us do? How to peel back our own mixed motivations and name them for what they are, while walking forward trusting in His light and reproof? November 29, 2013 by robyninnz. To walk in autumn. Is to be beset with leaves. The Welly wind whisks. Them across our path. The chill wind whips. Our hair into our faces. Denying my...

Robyn in Peru
So I got home on Thanksgiving Day, and I'm sorry to admit that I've neglected wrapping up my story. Perhaps it was because I wasn't quite ready to see it close. Or maybe it was sheer exhaustion - who knows. But I owe some closure at the very least to those who have checked back in with me and followed my adventure in Peru. Below is the last e-mail I sent after I'd been home for a few weeks. It was the first time that I allowed myself to pause and reflect on what had just happened. Even so, as far as cult...
