http://thegaves.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Our journey as a new family. Wednesday, May 28, 2008. 30 WEEKS (7 1/2 months). We had quite a busy week! Ellerey went to Atlanta for 2 days on short notice for business. Normally, I would've gone too, but I'm past the point of being allowed to fly during my pregnancy. Plus, the idea of sitting on a plane for 5 hours in my condition sounds just awful! I missed him so so much, but my friend Jenn was nice enough to stay over and keep me company : ). It was so great! Yikes, that was early! Monday, May 19, 20...

The Gaves: January 2009
http://thegaves.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Our journey as a new family. Saturday, January 10, 2009. The year our lives changed so drastically is already over. It's true, they really do grow so fast! Mataya is doing great as always! She is now fascinated at a new sound she discovered that she can make. It sounds like a baby pterodactyl squeal. So cute (and loud)! Mataya also knows her name and will turn if you call her - well, not always though! We're very very blessed! Here's a great polka dot themed tummy time session! Mataya, what are you up to?

And baby makes four …. Wants vs. Needs. Leave a comment ». Tonight at dinner Maddie and I were discussing wants vs. needs. Apparently she is learning about this concept in school. I sort of think 5 is young for this concept, but maybe better to start young. There are adults that don’t understand the difference. Anyway, we reviewed various wants versus needs. She correctly identified food, clothing, a house and love as needs. She also correctly identified chocolate, toys and jewelry as wants. The Folks Be...
