Room 1's Blog 2012. We are a talented group of 23 enthusiastic learners at Normandale School, Lower Hutt, New Zealand. AT THE BEACH (HIMATANGI). On Saturday we all went to the beach. Most of us went on a quad bike ride with Julie. There was a big log with water around it and we all played on it, we played ships. Scott (Zoe A’s dad) took a photo of us jumping off the log. My favourite thing was the quad bike ride with Julie. Camping at Himatangi Beach Holiday Park. Camping at Himatangi was, was Awesome!

Room 1's Blog 2012. We are a talented group of 23 enthusiastic learners at Normandale School, Lower Hutt, New Zealand. Tuesday, 6 November 2012. Today in Room 1 we made butter as part of our food science unit. We poured some cream into a clean jar and added a pinch of salt. Next we had turns shaking the jar like crazy, this took quite a long time. Eventually we saw the yellow blob of butter separate from the thin buttermilk. Then we gave the butter a taste test on crackers. The left over buttermilk.

Everyone cheered and clapped. We all ran our fastest. Next, the juniors had their own fun activities where they threw bean bags, jumped into hoops, over hurdles, and had fun races.
