Room 1's Blog 2014: Window Transfers

Room 1's Blog 2014. Thursday, 9 October 2014. Last term we made window transfers to help stop birds from crashing into our windows at school. All you need is PVA glue, food colouring and a dash of dishwashing liquid (not the concentrate kind). PVA glue dries clear so the food colouring provides the colour. 1) Mix the glue and some food colouring together. The colours will be a lot brighter than they look once they dry. 2) Add a few drops of dishwashing liquid, it makes it easier to peel your designs off.

First up were the sprints - First the heats. Then the finals which were very close. Well done to the winners. Girls: 1st Brooke, 2nd Catherine, 3rd= Neeve and Yasemin. Room 1's Blog 2014. Sunday, 30 March 2014. On Friday it was Fancy Feet day as part of Movin' March. Check out this slide show of all our fancy feet. Once we were all outside everyone got to walk down the catwalk stage to share their fancy feet with everyone. We even got to do our best poses for our audience. Room 1's Blog 2012. We are a talented group of 23 enthusiastic learners at Normandale School, Lower Hutt, New Zealand. Saturday, 8 December 2012. Today we turned our hand to making ricotta. First we put milk and some extra cream in a pot and gently heated it until it was just boiling. We had to stir it so it wouldn't stick to the bottom of the pot.
