Making puppets looks easy but it isn't as you have to not only make your papier mache head you then also need to paint and design the features so that they can be seen by an audience. Next you then have to sew the costumes-yes actually sew it on a machine. As you can see the boys "loved ". Next we had to write plays. We read lots first to get the ideas for interesting plays. Room 7 and 8. Friday, 15 April 2011. Happy Holidays from Miss Iskandar and Mrs Eichmann. Well we have made it to the end of the first term. The children have adjusted well to the blended classes and we are now beginning to see friendships between the year groups. Friday is St Joseph's Feast Day so we will be having mass at 9:15 which you are all invited to attend. At 11:00 we will have school wide tabloids finishing with a shared lunch. Room 1's Learning Blog. Friday, May 22, 2015. Letter "K" Making Kebabs. This week in Room 1 we have been learning all about the letter k. We read the book "Hedgehog Fun" and then decided to make our own kebabs. First we peeled the fruit then we cut or split up it up ready to go onto our kebab sticks. It was now time to make our kebabs choosing the fruit we wanted as well as a marshmallow or 2. They were soooooo yummy we all made another one. Peeling and cutting up the kiwi fruit.
