Room 1's Learning Blog. Friday, May 22, 2015. Letter "K" Making Kebabs. This week in Room 1 we have been learning all about the letter k. We read the book "Hedgehog Fun" and then decided to make our own kebabs. First we peeled the fruit then we cut or split up it up ready to go onto our kebab sticks. It was now time to make our kebabs choosing the fruit we wanted as well as a marshmallow or 2. They were soooooo yummy we all made another one. Peeling and cutting up the kiwi fruit. Room 1's Learning Blog. Sunday, May 3, 2015. Visit to Cobblestones Museum on Thursday. What an awesome day we had. Even though the weather was a tad cold we still traveled to Cobblestones on Thursday morning to experience some of the things from yesteryear. The start of our day. Heading to the school room. Our teacher from the "Olden Days". In the printing room. Riding in the car. Look at the desks we had to sit at. Des and the boys on a break. Some surprising information was learnt! It was a long lesson.

Room 1's Learning Blog. Saturday, April 25, 2015. Discovery Time for Room 1 and 2. On Friday Rooms 1 and 2 had their first Discovery Time session. Our focus was to explore the different activities and to work alongside others in both classes sharing our ideas and new learning. We were extremely lucky to have William's mum, Robyne, come in and show us how children used to write with feathers and special pens with ink. Thank you Robyne. Lots of concentration writing in ink. Writing with feathers and ink.

Thursday, 11 August 2011. The School Speech Competition. We held our school speech competition today in the hall. There was an unusual silence as we listened to 12 children present their speeches from 4 Senior classrooms. The topics ranged from Slang, Convincing your Parents to buy you things, Disabilities, Why School should start at 8am and Football.
