Fabiana Carter : Happy Halloween
http://fabianacarters.blogspot.com/2013/10/happy-halloween.html
Thursday, October 31, 2013. To celebrate Halloween my son began his week by decorating a pumpkin. After a couple of days we pureed the pumpkin to make some goodies. We baked muffins. Both recipes were super delicious, but the cookies were superb. I baked it twice and it was gone in an hour. I highly recommend you to try. I hope you have fun tonight with trick or treating :). Thanks. Posted by Fabiana Carter. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. There was an error in this gadget.

http://teachingstarstudents.blogspot.com/2012/10/classroom-crime-scene.html
Wednesday, October 10, 2012. I am super excited about the lessons on inferring that I taught my 5th graders today! It is so much fun when we can do something different that really gets the kids thinking. Above is what my 5th graders found when they came to class in the afternoon. I walked them to class and when we reached the door they all started asking questions, most asked if someone had died. LOL! When we looked closer we saw the magazine was a gaming magazine and that the receipt was from Game Stop&...

My 5th graders each completed a 13 Colony Project. This project is a switch up from the 13 Colonies. That my 5th graders did last year which was a power point. This year I decided to go with a more hands-on project. 4 Coffee Table Book. One topic from the Revolutionary War was chosen and written about in detail.

Saturday, October 27, 2012. Inferencing Lessons - 4th Grade. We have had lots of fun learning about inferencing. Each day for two weeks we practiced inferring with stories, videos and real items. To start our lesson we watched a great pod cast from a class on inferencing. Check it out! After watching the video my 4th grade students sorted through my trash. Yep, trash! What is the setting? As you watch the video you will see many other questions you can ask. Day 3, 4 and 5. I only used the cartoon pages.
