Harbour on the Dutch side of St. Maarten. This just reminded me of a beer commercial. Still, the sun was hot, the water was amazing and many of the people, including me, looked like beached whales. The smart natives and tourists were in a sail boat. Tuesday, April 24, 2012. Day 2 / Day 3. I couldn't get this guy, whatever his name, to turn ar...

On the walk we saw a tough looking guy, at least until we looked at his dog. The lush river of re-claimed water. Sunday, May 6, 2012. On Victory or Defeat.

http://geraldnkayleen.blogspot.com/2014/05/falmouth-jamaica.html
Random Ramblings and Pictures. Saturday, May 10, 2014. Day 4 - Falmouth, Jamaica. The day after Haiti, we sailed into Jamaica. We loaded onto a bus and were driven to Montego Bay for a Snorkeling trip. The views along the drive were wonderful, of course. I took a few pictures, some of which were to get the names of some of the best resorts in he area. Some of the best were of Montego Bay. We got onto a Catamaran at Cornwall Beach to go snorkeling. The crew pulled up a jelly fish for us to see. Seth Wilso...

http://geraldnkayleen.blogspot.com/2014/05/day-6-tulum.html
Random Ramblings and Pictures. Sunday, May 18, 2014. Day 6 - Tulum. An hour later, we were being marshalled into a row of children on a field trip, walking to a bus. A small ruin before our bus trip was our first stop, so that they could take pictures. Yes, that is a large reptile on top of the wall. It was at least 3 feet long. Bishop Squared: October 2012
http://geraldnkayleen.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Random Ramblings and Pictures. Monday, October 29, 2012. The Trial of Faith. I worked for many years at the tire shop, and in fact, mostly worked my way through college at Johnson Tire Service. I became proficient at changing large truck and farm implement tires. I also worked for one summer in the recap department. Of course, my Dad was a perfect example of hard work, so as I grew and matured, I recognized that work, any honest work, was ennobling and helped to shape the character of a man. I dreamed I ...

Random Ramblings and Pictures. Saturday, October 8, 2011. Around the Bend comes Number 10. A different Kind of Day. So we waited and 15 minutes later, another train passed, but from the other direction. It also was not the steam locomotive. After an hour, Kayleen said, "is today the 12th? We had a very enjoyable morning. It was cool and crisp, and I was in the very best of company. And we scouted out a very good place to watch the Steam Locomotive come through in five weeks. Bishop Squared: September 2013
http://geraldnkayleen.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Random Ramblings and Pictures. Saturday, September 14, 2013. Kayleen and I have talking lately about how and why Father loves us so much. I have decided to document some of the tender mercies in my life. Some of these have been discussed before, but some I have held close to my heart. A big reason why my faith is where it is, is due to Father's stream of "love notes" in my life. These notes are what the Apostles call "Tender Mercies". I was not really aware of the wound, but Father was. Fourteen months i...

Bishop Squared: Day 3 - Labadee, Haiti
http://geraldnkayleen.blogspot.com/2014/05/day-3-labadee-haiti.html
Random Ramblings and Pictures. Sunday, May 4, 2014. Day 3 - Labadee, Haiti. Labadee, Haiti is a private peninsula owned by the Cruise Company. The port of call was an extension of the cruise ship, so we didn't have to pay for any meals there. Anyway, we sailed into the port about 8:00 in the morning. The island seems to be a large, beautiful island. The local fishermen were just sailing out as we were sailing in. We went for a walk and found an old stone fort. Https:/ www.youtube.com/watch?
