Thursday, January 1, 2015. We hosted our second New Year's Eve party last night and had a GREAT time. Scott was an amazing bartender and I think everyone had a great time. We got to bed at 1:45am and are looking forward to an early night tonight! When we bought this house we knew we would LOVE the basement and it proves to be an amazing place to entertain! Just like last year I took some before and after pictures. I feel like this year the mess wasn't nearly as bad as last year. Links to this post.

Monday, June 29, 2015. We had a great weekend at the lake this past weekend. The weather was AWESOME and the kids got a lot of ski time in. The cabin addition is finally coming to an end on the inside so we are finally able to get out and enjoy the summer. We are looking forward to having many guests come visit us in July and August! Wednesday, August 20, 2014. First Day of Dance. Molly had her first day of dance yesterday and LOVED it. She has many little friends in the class that she knows and I was shocked when we walked in and I realized her teacher was someone I knew from my church group years ago. Thursday, October 30, 2014. This last week has been FULL of Halloween fun in the Hamling House! We carved pumpkins Tuesday night, the kids went trick or treating tonight and they are really excited for their class parties tomorrow. We were lucky and had GORGEOUS weather. Molly didn't last too long trick or treating. She enjoyed eating her candy at home more! Her little legs couldn't keep up with the big kids! Having a daddy who is a surgeon comes in handy when you are carving pumpkins! Links to this post.

Here are Jake and Nick during the Dowling vs. Waukee tailgating party at the Carlsons. Anna's first time mowing the lawn! The Christmas Carol with Grandma Patti and cousins! Monday, July 27, 2015. Riverside Lutheran Bible Camp. The girls had an AMAZING week at bible camp. This was Anna's sixth year and Emily's fourth year. They had great weather and were definitely tired when we picked them up Friday but announced they definitely want to go back next year. Anna has been doing ranch camp the last two years and really enjoys it. She got her same horse from last year which thrilled her! Anna with Sophie, Ellie, Katie and Kyra.
