ClayandJulieCochran: April 12, 2015
http://clayandjuliecochran.blogspot.com/2015/04/april-12-2015.html
Sunday, April 12, 2015. April 12, 2015. I couldn't decide on a title for today. There are so many phrases that have run through my mind, but none seem to capture what today will mean to me, and to my family, and to our entire family for years to come. So, I'll start at the beginning. We sang a new (or at least it's new to me) hymn today. I thought the refrain was so perfect for me, for today. And it is exactly what Marianne and Nan are singing together today. We will feast in the house of Zion.

ClayandJulieCochran: Billy Cochran
http://clayandjuliecochran.blogspot.com/2015/02/billy-cochran.html
Friday, February 20, 2015. On January 28, 2015, Billy joined our family. The weeks and days leading up to his birthday were long, and if I was being honest, were wrought with anxiety, excitement, fear, happiness, and everything in between. My doctor wanted to induce me (and, frankly, I had no idea why Billy had not been born yet! So we picked Wednesday, January 28. We chose this date so he could share a birthday with my grandmother, Mimi. Would I be overwhelmed by past memories in a delivery room? My mom...

Wednesday, May 14, 2014. Mother's Day: Seaside Style. My family decided to spend Mother's Day Weekend (and pretty much the week leading up to) in Seaside this year, and I could not have been more excited. I really do love Mother's Day, and I was excited to spend the weekend with my mom. We missed Scooter, KK and their kids (especially George- he got pretty lonely by the end of the trip . More on that later). I'll just tell the week's trip in pictures. After waiting ALL day, we finally made it! The next m...

ClayandJulieCochran: August 2014
http://clayandjuliecochran.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 8, 2014. Well- the move is done! Here are the three pictures I've taken since last Thursday. I had these visions of taking a family picture on the front steps on our first night. Moving Day could not have been further from my expectations. There was no time for a family picture, and frankly, none of us were in the right. Mood to take a picture. Here's our house on the eve before the move. It looks so peaceful, right? I think she doesn't feel good.". I am so thankful for grandparents. B...

ClayandJulieCochran: July 2014
http://clayandjuliecochran.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 22, 2014. Today is our dear Nan's first birthday. What a year this has been! Some of it was so hard, I really didn't know if we would ever make it to this point. I've never been through something that truly took me to the end of myself- meaning, I've never faced something that I literally could not do anything. To alleviate the pain or discomfort the situation caused. I've never been through anything that I couldn't see the end of the suffering. Clay stayed home with George and I today....

ClayandJulieCochran: November 2014
http://clayandjuliecochran.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 4, 2014. I've totally neglected the blog, so I'm going to do a re-cap of the last two months via pictures. September 19, 2014.George turned three years old! He chose a campout birthday party. In lieu of camping out with a bunch of three year olds, we had his party at a nearby park. We pitched tents for the kids to play in, roasted hot dogs, and even had a pinata shaped like a tent! It was the easiest birthday party to date, and it made my heart swell to see George with all of his friends.

Monday, January 12, 2015. The Most Wonderful Time of the Year. I love the holiday season. This year, Thanksgiving was sort of non-existent for me because I was sick as a dog. I actually spent Thanksgiving Day by myself falling in and out of sleep to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. So needless to say, I was all in for the Christmas festivities this year. We have a working wood-burning fireplace in our den, and I absolutely love it. I'm not so sure how George's toys feel about it though. This kid caugh...

Sunday, April 20, 2014. What Easter Means to Me. Easter has always been such a favorite day for me. I love that Spring (usually) has sprung. I love kids in Easter outfits, and flower crosses, and Easter hymns. I love celebrations with family, and watching George (especially this year) totally flip out that he gets presents on Easter morning. But this year, Easter has such a deeper meaning for me. We sang this hymn today at church, and I just think it is such a beautiful picture of what Easter means to me.
