The Weekly Delicious: African Peanut Stew (with Sweet Potatoes)
http://weeklydelicious.blogspot.com/2013/01/african-peanut-stew-with-sweet-potatoes.html
You want some of this. Friday, January 11, 2013. African Peanut Stew (with Sweet Potatoes). My love for sweet potatoes is well-known. I think my obsession may be at a point where I'd eat them for every meal if it were nutritionally feasible. I'm becoming notorious in my office for consuming a large roasted sweet potato, split and stuffed with a generous portion of goat cheese, for lunch nearly every day. It's my go-to favorite meal. Query: Does soup taste better out of an extra-pretty bowl that has crows...

Just Make it to the Kitchen...: And no, I was not a bellhop at the time.
http://argyler.blogspot.com/2009/07/and-no-i-was-not-bellhop-at-time.html
Just Make it to the Kitchen. And no, I was not a bellhop at the time. People tend to ask me questions wherever I go. I’ve tried for years to figure out what it is about me that makes me so approachable or makes people think I knowledgeable, all to no avail. And I still managed to give them correct directions. How we do get to Dupont Circle? How do I get the Museum of American History? Do you know when the next train is coming? When does this museum close? Do we have to pay to get into the Newseum? I supp...

Just Make it to the Kitchen...: Back at home
http://argyler.blogspot.com/2009/05/back-at-home.html
Just Make it to the Kitchen. Being back from school for reals this week has taught me a few things in just a short amount of time. 1 However nice or accommodating my parents are, I will go insane if I spend too much quality time at home. I just have to wall myself up in my room or leave the house most of the time, just because I've grown so accustomed to be elsewhere and with different company. Am I a bad son? Probably, but I feel like this isn't very uncommon around 21 year old age range. Single-Serving...

The Weekly Delicious: October 2011
http://weeklydelicious.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
You want some of this. Tuesday, October 18, 2011. Sometimes, I have flashes of inspiration. Sometimes, I also have a container of canned pumpkin and a container of ricotta that simultaneously need using up before they expire in my fridge. What to do? Pumpkin-ricotta.something. Pasta? Already done that. Erm. Dessert? My French-Canadian heritage came to the rescue with the idea for crepes with a sweet pumpkin-ricotta filling. Now we're talking. Serves 4-6, depending on how many crepes you can eat. 8230;a c...

The Weekly Delicious: February 2013
http://weeklydelicious.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
You want some of this. Sunday, February 3, 2013. I'm a cook, not a baker. But with how I cook, it's often difficult to remember exactly what I did step by step to recreate it in recipe format here. So, to get back into the swing of posting here (and to use up some bananas starting to go too ripe), banana bread it is. Not one to leave well enough alone, I combined two recipes. A constant standby for a solid recipe is the Joy of Cooking, and their banana bread recipe. Not banana nut bread. 2 T sour cream.

The Weekly Delicious: Thanksgiving Roundup
http://weeklydelicious.blogspot.com/2010/12/thanksgiving-roundup.html
You want some of this. Thursday, December 2, 2010. We've been too many weeks without delicious. Or at least delicious that we've bothered to document. So I propose a Thanksgiving round-up of extra-delicious holiday fare! I'll start with two recipes of mostly-my-own-devising. Also, making your own stuffing means you are free to leave those icky celery bits out. Um. Unless you actually like celery. I sure don't. I pretty much threw stuff in as suited me. I had the kielbasa and the cornbread, but when I...
