I had no internet access (without a large cost) in NYC except for Rachel's IPOD so after returning and trying to sleep off jet lag for the past day and a half, I am updating as promised. Monday, July 7, 2008. Back again from Victoria. Well, I wasn't sure when we started but we made it! And Dad was off again. After the usual speech about not racing people, taking time to enjoy the sights - had he not learned? Earning a laugh from the couple. We tried but Dad simply wouldn't believe us when we told him they weren't trying to race! Friday, September 19, 2008. The fundraiser is over, now the real work begins, lol! On the night of the fundraiser the weather was beautiful, the dinner was delicious and with a near sellout crowd, everyone was having a good time. There were lots of door prizes and silent auction items ( please check and support the sponsors on our list! We want to keep the momentum building. Thank you notes and follow up letters will be out there shortly so look for them! When I coordinate with my 'Web master' Annie.

Sunday, June 29, 2008. What a long week! I had a special surprise when an arm came out of the crowd just before the Burrard St. Bridge - it was Ralf! It was a good moment to have a familiar face cheer me on. We clasped hands briefly and I carried on. Later that day I headed to work (night shift) and and when my shift was over at 6:00 am I headed straight to the Physio! And what a lot of work by all participants and volunteers. Well done!
