Running into the missing piece. Tuesday, October 14, 2014. It’s fall, only a few aspen are clinging to their golden leaves. The farmers market is finished, and frosts and snows have ended the growing season. Summer was a flurry; a near miss wildfire, gardening, end of life issues and healing. Through it all both Gary and I kept remembering the Ultra Caballo; people, food, the river. People came to market to congratulate Gary, and then strangers started bringing me baby blankets for the Raramuri children.

Running into the Sun. Wednesday, May 29, 2013. The last time I posted, it was February and there was snow everywhere. Yesterday I arrived home shortly after a rainstorm had passed through town and my house was so full of moisture all the mirrors were fogged up. There was condensation on the glass of all my framed geologic maps. The floor and walls were damp. It was disgusting. I slammed all the windows shut and turned on the AC and let it run without stopping for over an hour. Of course, what did I do?

My life is a sprint let's see what i run into. Friday, August 14, 2015. Finn has an imaginary friend. He has been talking about "Jack" for several weeks, but for some reason I thought Jack was a boy from his preschool or VBS.maybe my friend Laura's son? Nope He's imaginary. He sleeps under Finn's bed, sits between him and Kellan in the car. Takes baths in the shower. He's four years old. He sometimes does stuff to go to time out. He wants to go to Cherry Berry EVERY NIGHT. Next week will only be worse.
