October 21, 2011. Mission Accomplished: 2011 ING Hartford Marathon. Trying to finish strong after hitting the Mile 13 mark. Excitement. Agony. Determination. Those are just a few of the feelings I experienced in the hours prior, during and after the 2011 ING Hartford Marathon. I thought six-plus months of training for my first half marathon would have given me a good idea of what to expect. The countless number of supportive messages from friends and family. The time is now? | Running Ray

May 21, 2012. The time is now? WIth a busy day ahead and less than ideal weather forecast on tap, I decided to run at (gasp) 5:45 am today. I have always been an after work kind of person, saving the morning runs only for races and weekend “long runs.” I do have to admit though, I really enjoyed getting out there before work and feeling like I accomplished something before even having my first cup of coffee! So that brings me to today’s poll question. When do you prefer to run and why? Top Posts and Pages.

The one thing that stood out was not entering a blog post in more than a year! So, let’s consider this the first step in achieving one of my New Year’s resolutions to feed “Running Ray” way more often. Share on Facebook (Opens in new window). Running Ravenous
Love to run. Love to write. Love to eat. Monday, January 2, 2017. Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will break my mind. The "irrelevant" experiment went pretty well. In fact, every time I consciously chose. To say it, it never failed. Pffffft. It's a struggle. And then my daughter did a super fascinating science project that gave me a kick of motivation: She basically killed a poinsettia using only her words. Seriously. The flowers weren't identical. She used the bigger, healthier looki...

Love to eat. love to run. love to write. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. February 21, 2017. Small talk. How about yours? 8220;Also good.”. 8220;Good.”. 8220;I would love that! 8220;Totally.”. They came ...
