Running with my Thesis. A grad student and her dog. Laquo; I came, I ran, I fell over. Hectic Weeks = Terrible Workouts. Week 5 in my rear view mirror! By Anna (Running with my Thesis). On August 29, 2013. Made it through, made it through, go team me! I even had enough energy afterwards to get through the bulk of my stretches. (I skipped the second last one because it requires more coordination than I had at that point.). 8221; and managed to get through it. The last 3 minutes were. Running with my doggie.

Ran Day 2 of Week 5. Those 8 minute runs are harsh, yo. Cannot tell you how much I’m dreading the next run, though. I’m considering taking tomorrow off just to give my running muscles a bit more of a break before tackling 20 minutes straight, even if it is only 4 more minutes of running more than I&...I know from e...

Running with my Thesis. A grad student and her dog. Laquo; Hectic Weeks = Terrible Workouts. The metaphorical wall has been hit. By Anna (Running with my Thesis). On September 4, 2013. I made it through today’s run, but it was pretty objectively terrible. I could hardly make my feet move, and my time was awful. I suspect this has more to do with how hectic my week has been than anything else. One response to “ Feet of Lead. September 4, 2013 at 1:45 pm. Sounds like you need a rest day! On Feet of Lead.

Running with my Thesis. A grad student and her dog. Laquo; Not all that bad. Running in the rain. That one was pretty good. By Anna (Running with my Thesis). On August 24, 2013. Okay, these posts titles are terrible and should feel terrible, but let’s ignore that. Finished Week 4 of C25k! I’ve decided to buy myself something nice when I’ve run 100 miles (from when I started keeping track online – I have a Daily Mile account. Time we ran into a skunk, Thesis believed me and we continued on our way. That&#...

Running with my Thesis. A grad student and her dog. Laquo; That one was pretty good. I came, I ran, I fell over. Running in the rain. By Anna (Running with my Thesis). On August 25, 2013. Are you considered a real runner if you get outside, see it’s pouring rain, whine about how much you hate the rain, but do your run anyway? I am so glad I have Mia’s Chubby Jones podcasts. I’m a bit anxious about school starting up again soon. I hit the ground running (as it were) on September 3rd and I’...Address never...

Skip to main content. Skip to primary sidebar. Skip to secondary sidebar. A beginning runner's journal. Larr; Testing My Speed. I’m Still Running! It’s been quite a while since I’ve posted an update. There hasn’t been a whole lot to say lately — I’ve just been running here and there. As I mentioned last time, I am working on improving my speed. I seem to be doing better with shorter runs (1 mile or so). Longer runs are still tough to go faster though. Anyway, I have a lot of blogs to catch up on! I admit...

Running with my Baby
Running with my Baby. Tuesday, 9 June 2015. Pregnancy, running, the truth and all. Are you still running? Has been the question most people have asked me throughout this pregnancy. I have felt the pressure to keep fit and to stay in shape, mainly because I want to get back racing as soon as possible, but after pushing myself to run for 36 weeks I am looking back now wondering if it was my most sensible decision. We will see! Black is very forgiving. Who told me she ran to 36 weeks and she is my idol.

Running With My Eyes Shut
Running With My Eyes Shut. Monday, September 7, 2009. We held the hubby Dan and sister Katie's birthday party last Friday. I made a delicious Devils Food cake with a rich Dark Chocolate Ganache for Dan and a Triple Berry pie for Katie. We then drove the 30 minutes back to the house in time to cool off. It was so hot and dusty at the range, I can't wait to someday join a club so we can go to an inside range. I did surprise Dad by informing him I joined the NRA! Tuesday, September 1, 2009. They have the mi...

Running with my Thesis | A grad student and her dog
Running with my Thesis. A grad student and her dog. Back in the saddle I guess. By Anna (Running with my Thesis). I’ve moved on to Week 4 Day 1 of Zombies, Run! And while I am by no means doing as well as I was a few weeks ago, I’m at least getting back out there and not giving up. But yeah, I’ve tracked my eating now for the past three days and it is totally that I am not eating enough. Also, I need to get new shoes, because these ones are a) full of holes and b) hurting my feet. So, about running.

January 29, 2015. Tonight I ate at a Chinese restaurant somewhere in small town Pennsylvania. As I sat alone at my plexiglass covered table admiring the fascinating decor, it occurred to me that the only reason I was here was because I was alone. I would have been to apprehensive to suggest the possibility of eating here with anyone else. The food was great, the waitress was coarse, and the floors were dirty. Why am I concerned about the comfort level of others more than my own? January 27, 2015. When it...
