Yes it’s the Chinese Lunar New Year or the Spring Festival and it is celebrated across this region with bells on starting on January 31st for fifteen days. The date changes each year depending on when the second moon after the winter solstice occurs. There is something very poetic sounding about that although I’m sure any astro-physicists reading (unlikely) are putting their heads in their hands in quiet despair. Welcome to the Year of the Horse.

Just another WordPress.com site. November 6, 2010. Met up last night to discuss training, strategy, how soon is too soon to start carb-loading and so on. (I have started already. Every chip counts.) And we got drunk, obviously. Fine for the other two who’d smugged their way through a training run before arriving at the bar. Not so for me. I hadn’t been able to train so Saturday was NOT a day off for me. I’m Julia Raeside and I’d like to talk to you about Jeeeeeeesus. From → Training. And so it begins.
