Aunt Jaq: Finished Object Roll Call: July 2015
http://auntjaq.blogspot.com/2015/07/finished-object-roll-call-july-2015.html
Friday, July 31, 2015. Finished Object Roll Call: July 2015. Mielie Vest: This is a Me-Project. I had an urge to make myself some things lately. It was a long haul(not as long as some other projects.) but I'm super excited to use this in the coming fall months! Black Socks: After the last pair of socks for me ended up too small, these are take two. These ones honestly feel a little big, but I'd rather too big than too small. I also do GIVEAWAYS on Facebook. August 2, 2015 at 9:58 AM. Stop Asking Me That.

Aunt Jaq: An Adventure With Wool and Kool Aid
http://auntjaq.blogspot.com/2013/10/an-adventure-with-wool-and-kool-aid.html
Monday, October 7, 2013. An Adventure With Wool and Kool Aid. I'd been hearing rumors for awhile that you can dye yarn with Kool-Aid. So, when I found Kool-Aid on Mangers Special at the Kroger, I stocked up. Black Cherry, Grape, Fruit Punch, and Strawberry. A few weeks later an opportunity came up in one of my swap groups on Ravelry. It was perfect for my experimentation. A neutral color, free, and wool. Which I'm told is essential for Kool-Aid dyeing to work. But, I also know that color changes as it dr...

Aunt Jaq: Relay for Life/ Dancing with the Stars
http://auntjaq.blogspot.com/2013/01/relay-for-life-dancing-with-stars.html
Monday, January 21, 2013. Relay for Life/ Dancing with the Stars. I have a wonderful friend named Sammie who just happens to be a ballroom dancer. She's pretty good (at least I think so, but all I know about ballroom I learned from "Mad Hot Ballroom" and "Dancing with the Stars" so I'm not sure how qualified I would be to judge). Here's Sammie's Story about why she decided to participate:. A Relay For Life event is not only a way to join my community to fight back against cancer, but it is also a way to ...

The Peacock Press: May 2015
http://thevintagechick.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Friday, May 15, 2015. It probably seemed like I became extinct for a while. I was abducted by a 1050/1060 math class. Math and numbers are most difficult for me! Sadly, I chose to forgo some of my favorite things.ie. celebrating obscure holidays and such. However, as they say, better late than never! So here is my attempt at celebrating Pi day in a non-mathematical way! A couple of months and a day late! The berries this year have been fabulous! As big as my thumb! So I just had to make Tres Leche Cakes!

Aunt Jaq: Swapping
http://auntjaq.blogspot.com/2015/08/swapping.html
Monday, August 10, 2015. I've been swapping on Ravelry for three years now. Off and on. Mostly on. Recently I discovered swapping on Instagram. Sewing swapping. Which I thoroughly enjoy. However, it makes me super self conscious about my quilting skills. I don't have much right now, but I'm working on it. Apparently 3 weeks was too long for me. I still have 2 swaps from the summer to finish up and mail off. But the little swap voice in my head kept whispering at me to 'sign up sign up sign up! I will kee...

The Peacock Press: Happy Easter!
http://thevintagechick.blogspot.com/2014/04/happy-easter.html
Sunday, April 20, 2014. I love the Springtime and all things new! I love that we have the opportunity to remember and celebrate the Easter season! I'm so thankful Christ gave me the gift of the Atonement and was resurrected! My youngest is almost 13. She decided to hide eggs this morning for her 17 year old brother and even though he wasn't feeling the best, he participated and found them. He then took the time to hide her eggs so she could do the same. They are good to each other! Looks SUPER yummy and ...

The Peacock Press: Au Gratin Potatoes
http://thevintagechick.blogspot.com/2014/06/au-gratin-potatoes.html
Sunday, June 8, 2014. I made these potatoes for an Au Gratin Potato lover and he said he is now ruined for all other Au Gratin Potatoes! They are made with Manchego cheese which I could only find at Sam's Club and Costco. It is kinda pricey, but worth it. These are some pretty tasty potatoes! Manchego Au Gratin Spuds. Preheat oven to 375*. Replace plastic with tinfoil. Bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 45 minutes. Let potatoes rest 30 minutes before serving. Usually, twice is my max.
