The Dudley Dilemma

Tuesday, September 30, 2008. Well it has been a long long time but the summer went by quickly and I didn't manage to take very many interesting pictures. We did have a crazy hail storm in the middle of August. The ice chunks were enormous! James and I spent quite a bit of time walking or running with Dudley on the dirt roads and trails near our house. And fish and chips with our parents fattened us up. Below is James with his parents Chris and Lynn. Friday, August 1, 2008. Thursday, July 24, 2008. Well i...

The Dudley Dilemma: July 2008

http://www.russellbeasley.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html

Thursday, July 24, 2008. We had a big storm last night. There was a tornado warning but luckily it missed us and we just got hit by a thunder storm. It was intense and we lost power for a few hours. It is still super humid but slightly cooler than it has been the past week or so. I missed summer thunder storms when we were out west. Wednesday, July 9, 2008. Wednesday, July 2, 2008. Livin' the Dream: October 2008

http://meganmelamed.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html

And La Vida Loca. Friday, October 31. Day of the Dead. Last night Ivan, Carolina, Wolfgang and I went to see the Day of the Dead. Exhibit en the Zocalo. It was super cool and below are many photos. Clausurado Por Violar La Ley. If a business here violates the law and is shut down either for a short period of time or permanently, the government makes sure everyone knows by plastering signs all over the building. I think it is pretty funny. Monday, October 20. The last part was a 20 km descent. On an EXTRE...

Livin' the Dream: A Big Phat DNF

http://meganmelamed.blogspot.com/2009/06/big-phat-dnf.html

And La Vida Loca. Tuesday, June 2. A Big Phat DNF. Last Sunday was yet another mountain bike race. It was a sweet course and reminded me a lot of riding the Ned trails. But I just didn't have it in me. My lower back was killing me, it was pouring rain, and I am a whimp. So I pulled out after 2 of 3 laps. Oh well, you win some, you lose some and you don't finish others. But I did sport my new socks Micki gave me while she was visiting me from Boulder. I was representin' big time! Dreams Do Come True.

Livin' the Dream: I AM BACK

http://meganmelamed.blogspot.com/2009/05/i-am-back.html

And La Vida Loca. Wednesday, May 27. Sorry blog readers that I haven't posted in a while. But here is the update. On May 5th I accepted a position in Washington D.C. working with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Specifically, I will be working in the Office of Research and Development's National Center for Environmental Research. Yup, he still acts like he is twelve hiding behind trees in the forest. And riding away from me on long bike rides. Congrats on the new job! Dreams Do Come True.

Livin' the Dream: June 2009

http://meganmelamed.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html

And La Vida Loca. Tuesday, June 9. A Big Phat W. Yup, that is right. Two weekends ago it was a Big Phat DNF. This past weekend, it was a Big Phat W. Of course its easy to get a Big Phat W when the competition doesn't show up! All I had to do was finish the race, which I did at a very mellow pace while practicing my climbing and descending skills on the more technical parts. They recently constructed this new building, which I believe will be bathrooms. Its pretty darn cool but the coolest part is. Last S...

Livin' the Dream: January 2009

http://meganmelamed.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html

And La Vida Loca. Wednesday, January 28. Endo got a handmade stand for his dog bowls yesterday. One of the best things about Mexico is that you can get anything you want custom made for cheap. Although I think I got the "gringo" price on Endo's dog bowls stand. Oh well, it was still cheap. Saturday, January 24. You know those days when you wake up and look outside and everything just seems perfect? Well today was one of those days and I took advantage of the it by mountain biking with my friend Lenny.

And La Vida Loca. Sunday, February 22. I have recently acquired some new furniture. A bookcase made of individual cubes. Centro Historico with the Parents. My parents and I went for a quick walking tour of the Centro. A couple Fridays ago (yeah, I am way behind with my blogging). Our first stop was to go up the Torre Latinoamerica. One of the tallest buildings in Mexico City. From the top you get a good view of the the Palacio. And the Cathedral bordering the Zocalo. Monday, February 16. But really, the ...

And La Vida Loca. Sunday, November 30. Came to Mexico City to celebrate Thanksgiving at Maggie and Antonio's. I don't have any pictures of the great meal we ate on Saturday evening, but I assure you, it was yummy. Its also been nice to see Evelyn. This past weekend, la banda. After eating a very yuumy. Meal at Mi Ranchito.

Livin' the Dream: April 2009

http://meganmelamed.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html

And La Vida Loca. Sunday, April 26. My Last Day in DC. I decided to unwind from a week of 12 interviews and dressing fancy everyday (suit required) and stroll around DC to see the sites on a beautiful spring day. I passed by the White House. Before heading to see The Washington Monument. And finally The U.S. Capitol. Maybe I should retire early and join them on their adventures . . . Monday, April 20. La Casa de Melamed Hace 3 Días. Para mis amigos mexicanos . . . Sunday, April 19. Monday, April 6. 12 ye...
