Years, with over 1.2 million words and counting. Wow Time is absolutely flying by! Earlier this year, I thought to myself that I should try to post at least once a month, so that months didn't slip by without a post like they did in years previous. The result is that I ended up not posting at all in 2014. Of course! I used to do this every day! Remote Access - is it finally here? Video of my talk at Amazon's AWS re:Invent. That's me doing my new job! How I learned to write. It's a new ballgame! But befor...

PR People Are Morons - Russell Beattie

http://www.russellbeattie.com/notebook/1008527.html

PR People Are Morons. Posted Friday, July 8, 2005 7:04 am. Yet now these bullshit artists are sort of weasling their way back into the conversation somehow and it's annoying. And don't misunderstand, these people aren't trying to participate in the conversation, they're trying to "influence" it. The most annoying, of course, are the emails I get from PR folk wanting me to talk about this or that product - especially the spam-like form letters. Anil just wrote about this.

Twitterfeed.php - Get your authenticated Twitter stream as an Atom feed. Posted Wednesday, October 17, 2012 12:32 am. Anyways, I wired something up last night to get it working, but then today decided to make the script more self-contained so it didn't rely on any third party libraries. You can query OAuth resources using just command-line CURL requests, so how hard could it be, right? Surely I didn't need a whole library just for a single request! I put the script up as a Gist on Github here.

Posted Wednesday, April 13, 2005 10:24 am. Wow I just read this mind-blowing post by Jyri Engestrom. In response to my post about leaving Linked In. It's very well thought out and opens a whole new perspective to social networking for me that I completely, 100% sign on to:. Very cool. Sign me up to this way of thinking from now on. It just makes sense.

Linking Out after Two Years of Linked In - Russell Beattie

http://www.russellbeattie.com/blog/1008411

Linking Out after Two Years of Linked In. Posted Monday, April 11, 2005 4:56 pm. After almost exactly two years. I've finally closed my Linked In account. When it was first created, I thought it was interesting and thought it'd be beneficial to have my information there, both for me to contact people and for them to contact me. I gave it plenty of time to be useful, but it just hasn't done anything at all for my life. At least to me they are. I mean, I had my email and web site in the bottom of my pr...

On a wide range of topics starting from technology to theatrics. Thursday, November 25, 2004. In love.with RSS Calendar and Bloglines. Today, i got back to using the RSS Calendar. Though they have some pretty important or key features that are missing, i can see from the site tha they are working on it, top most on my list is ability to import and export from Outlook. I think this is of vital importance for wider adoption. Then i saw the output and was totall impressed,. Then it gave me 4 other options.

The Dudley Dilemma

Tuesday, September 30, 2008. Well it has been a long long time but the summer went by quickly and I didn't manage to take very many interesting pictures. We did have a crazy hail storm in the middle of August. The ice chunks were enormous! James and I spent quite a bit of time walking or running with Dudley on the dirt roads and trails near our house. And fish and chips with our parents fattened us up. Below is James with his parents Chris and Lynn. Friday, August 1, 2008. Thursday, July 24, 2008. Well i...
