'Women...a World Survey' (1985) Foreword

http://www.ruthsivard.com/women85foreword.html

Foreword by Liv Ullman. It is the great merit of Ruth Sivard’s. World survey of women that in its pages we discover once again that we are all sisters under the skin. Brings to life the comment of an English physician who said of the science of statistics that, after all, it only represented people with the tears wiped off. This report is sober evidence that we can trust our senses. Selections from this edition.

'World Military and Social Expenditures' (1977)

http://www.ruthsivard.com/wmse77.html

World Military and Social Expenditures. Foreword by Robert S. McNamara. No government can escape the responsibility of providing an appropriate and reasonable level of defense for its society. In an imperfect world that is necessary. But what is just as necessary is to understand that the concept of security encompasses more than simply military force, and that a society can reach a point at which additional military expenditure no longer provides additional security. This publication, now in its third u...

'World Military and Social Expenditures' (1976)

http://www.ruthsivard.com/wmse76.html

World Military and Social Expenditures. By Ruth Sivard,. Foreword by Hubert H. Humphrey. When we discuss national security, we tend too often to give it a military label. It is, in fact, much broader than military power and much more complex. There can be no security without a commitment to social betterment. In this study, Ruth Sivard. Hubert H. Humphrey. Vice-president of the United States. Congressional Gold Medal, 1979. Presidential Medal of Freedom, 1980.

Ruth Sippel Pace - Family Stories | stories to memorialize my family

Ruth Sippel Pace – Family Stories. Stories to memorialize my family. March 27, 2010 by Ruth. It occurred to me that many people in my family had some very interesting things about them. I thought that I would put those down, and honor all those people who had a hand in raising me. Growing up without a mother and many times without my father around, my “parents” were the various adult relatives in my family. This is my way of saying “thanks.”. November 7, 2014 by gertmcqueen. Keys to Life | Learning to live, living to learn

Ruth's JACKET Project

Friday, 14 November 2014. Sewing in the zip and constructing the lining were the finishing touches. Now I can start to wear it, just in time for the colder weather. Wednesday, 12 November 2014.
