www.RV-3B.com (my 'RV-51'): Work Bench Ready!
http://rv-3b.blogspot.com/2007/12/work-bench-ready.html
Friday, December 7, 2007. Today I disassembled half of the work bench taking up room at the front of the garage and relocated it along the side wall. I purposely put the tools between the bench and the jig area (where the tail, wings and fuse would be). I wanted to make the bench 'stowable' so passengers could get in my car without having to wait for me to back out of the garage. The plan is to use the rest of the work bench up front to construct shelfing over the work bench (among other things).

http://rv-3b.blogspot.com/2007/12/shop-progress-dec-1-2007.html
Saturday, December 1, 2007. Shop progress (Dec 1 2007). Note the extension ladder over on the right is now up off the ground (planning to epoxy paint the floor so I can keep it clean with a leaf blower). Waiting for the next paint recycling day in our neighborhood so I can empty about ten feet of shelf up in the top left corner of the garage. The next step will be to start disassembly of the long bench and find a place for the power washer (no, you can't have it. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

www.RV-3B.com (my 'RV-51'): New Sioux Drill
http://rv-3b.blogspot.com/2007/11/new-sioux-drill.html
Wednesday, November 7, 2007. Picked up from Avery Tools today. I bought it on sale a couple of weeks back and used picking it up as an excuse to take a short flight (.3 each way). I built the last RV with a $20 cheapo drill and vowed that if I ever did it again I'd use a QUALITY drill. Dave Miller, get ready for a call. I want my tools back that you borrowed. Sunday, November 11, 2007. Cleaning the front of the garage (some more). Spent 30 minutes straightening up some more of the front of the garage. The long work bench will be torned down and converted to a much smaller work area over on the right side of the garage (parallel to my car). Possibly hinged against the wall with swing out legs. Goal #2 is to pull the cars back in after each work session with plenty of room left over to walk around. Click for 800 pixel wide enlargement. Thursday, November 8, 2007.

http://rv-3b.blogspot.com/2007/11/moved-band-saw-drill-press-and-grinder.html
Thursday, November 8, 2007. Moved the band saw, drill press and grinder. This morning I took an hour to turn some scrap wood I had piled up in a corner of the garage into a spot to relocate the band saw, drill press and grinder to, well away from the front of the garage. I wanted something small enough that I could:. Use without backing out the car,. At the perfect height for my hands to work a part,. And off the ground so cleaning under it would be made easier. So what's this "maybe" stuff! Delta Romeo,...
