Religious Discrimination? | Uberous Hubris
https://ryandsmith.wordpress.com/2008/11/15/religious-discrimination
15 November, 2008 at 9:48 pm ( LDS Church. I recently read an interesting comment. About Proposition 8 apparently from a gay man:. As a gay man….none of my rights are being violated or taken away by prop.8! I already have “domestic partnership” rights! When those who say that gay rights are a civil matter and not a religious one, they forget that most of our laws are based on morality. Elder Dallin H. Oaks. Such an action would wipe out virtually all of the laws against crimes.”. I don’t think I...

Changing the Definition of Marriage. 19 November, 2008 at 1:31 pm ( LDS Church. A friend sent me a long but very thorough article. 19 November, 2008 at 1:57 pm. 29 September, 2008 at 9:30 pm ( LDS Church. It’s increasingly difficult to vote for those with conservative values when there are very few people who represent them well. I read a NY Post article, Why Our Elites Fear Faith. About Washington’s problem with Sarah Palin’s faith:. By Matt Taibbi in the Rolling Stone where he talks about how Huckabee is a cool guy, but still a “nutjob”: “The troubling thing about Huckabee’s God rhetoric is that a man who is glad that Christians will &#...According to my view ...

The Economy is all Bush’s Fault! 21 October, 2008 at 5:34 pm ( Moral decline. Let me first say I don’t enjoy defending Bush. But it’s important that people understand where problems begin. Plenty of problems have been caused by this administration and I believe most of them can be categorized under an umbrella of hubris and all its fruits, including the loss of hegemony. 21 October, 2008 at 5:40 pm. 21 October, 2008 at 6:16 pm. John Hall with Aaron. 6 February, 2009 at 1:40 pm ( Memories. Someone on Facebook posted a video compilation of memories from my dorm, John Hall, at BYU. I took a screen shot from a frame of us lip syncing to Beastie Boys’ “Fight for Your Right to Party”. Aaron and I were on guitar. I had a lot of fun times with Aaron from about 1988 to 1998 when he passed away. Here’s the picture. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Mama's Hugs: December 2012
http://hugsfrommom.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 20, 2012. This is just for you Dad. Here are the kids piano recital pieces from Dec. 15th. Cameron wasn't too happy with how her piece turned out during the recital so I had her do it again after almost everyone left. This version is better but unfortunately there are still some people talking in the background. Sunday, December 2, 2012. It's all part of God's plan for how we raise our children and somehow, despite the chaos of my life, it's working. I'm grateful for the beautiful,...

Mama's Hugs: Happy Easter
http://hugsfrommom.blogspot.com/2013/05/happy-easter.html
Sunday, May 5, 2013. Easter morning I woke up extra early to prepare these whole wheat cinnamon rolls with my natural yeast (I started the dough the night before). It was the first time I have ever made cinnamon rolls that didn't come in a can! The cinnamon rolls were a big hit! So were the Easter baskets. We hid candy filled eggs in the basement, even though it was actually warm enough this year to hide them outside. I guess we're just used to doing it this way. May 5, 2013 at 9:50 AM. Mama's Hugs: Spring Break, the drive home
http://hugsfrommom.blogspot.com/2013/05/spring-break-drive-home.html
Sunday, May 26, 2013. Spring Break, the drive home. On our way home from Flagstaff we stopped by Sunshine Crater and then drove past these Pueblo dwellings. We also took the other highway through monument valley. I'm not sure what this big rock is sticking up in the middle of nowhere but it seemed pretty dark and foreboding to me. The drive was beautiful. Humor me for a minute. I couldn't get enough of the white fluffy clouds, the red rock and the barren landscape. May 26, 2013 at 1:03 PM.
Extemporaneous Wandering: Don't Look Back In Anger
http://exwandering.blogspot.com/2009/09/dont-look-back-in-anger.html
Thursday, September 10, 2009. Don't Look Back In Anger. Parent complaint: "Everytime I ask my three year old to do something he doesn't want to do he flips out. He seems to be full of rage. I'm worried he will turn out to be a serial killer or something. Please FIX HIM.". While I can't promise that any given three year old won't turn out to be a serial killer, this behavior definitely doesn't guarantee it. You may also be worried that they will turn out like this woman:. Positive reinforcement. When ...
Mama's Hugs: November 2012
http://hugsfrommom.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 24, 2012. This trip to California we decided to go to Knotts Berry Farm instead of Disneyland. The kids had never been there before and we thought they might like some of the bigger roller coasters. It just so happened that our good friends the Barton's and the Holley's were there that week too so we all went together. It was a hot, humid day but we practically had the place to ourselves. Evelyn giving Snoopy a hug! The Barton's, the Smith's, and the Holley's. One last ride before the ...
Mama's Hugs: March 2013
http://hugsfrommom.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 31, 2013. It's Too Cold Outside. It's funny that Evelyn sang, "Too coldy outside, for angels to fly" all winter because this was a brutally cold winter. We hovered around 0 degrees for longer than I appreciated. There were many nights where we snuggled up on the couches with warm blankets and warm company. Here are a few quotes from Facebook that I posted in January:. I can't believe I'm happy that it's 16 degrees outside. It seriously feels warmer. Saturday, March 30, 2013. I can't believe...

City, State, Zip. Your Custom Text Here. Two Photos, Two Decades, One Ongoing Fight. July 11, 2016. This weekend this image, captured by freelance photographer Jonathan Bachman. On behalf of Reuters, went viral. It offers a clarity of vision at the end of a week full of confusion, tension, and re-aggravated wounds: a well-supplied and well-armed law enforcement organization aligned against an individual protester defended only by the belief she has in herself.
