http://thebanburyman.blogspot.com/2015/07/a-familiar-political-situation.html
A place where I discuss various matters. I like to talk and I like to listen. Saturday, 25 July 2015. A Familiar Political Situation. It is a sorry and familiar story. But I do not speak of the UK, of the Conservatives and Labour, but of Canada, the Conservatives and the NDP. The speaker was Linda McQuaig. Author, social commentator, and hopeful candidate in the Toronto Central Riding (Constituency) for the left wing progressive NPD Party. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

The Banbury Man: Ashers Bakery, and the battle of Christians.
http://thebanburyman.blogspot.com/2015/05/ashers-bakery-and-battle-of-christians.html
A place where I discuss various matters. I like to talk and I like to listen. Tuesday, 19 May 2015. Ashers Bakery, and the battle of Christians. Today, a long awaited judgement. I believe the judgement is correct. If you operate a business, you do not get to choose who you serve. It is as simple as that. Nor does the driver, who admitted him to the bus. Christian soldiers are wasting their time being mercenaries for other armies. It is time the right battles were fought. 19 May 2015 at 22:51. Election Ex...

The Banbury Man: The Queen, The Daily Express, Bergen-Belsen, and an inappropriate photograph
http://thebanburyman.blogspot.com/2015/05/the-queen-daily-express-bergen-belsen.html
A place where I discuss various matters. I like to talk and I like to listen. Tuesday, 19 May 2015. The Queen, The Daily Express, Bergen-Belsen, and an inappropriate photograph. I find myself at a loss to explain this. At best, it is laughably inappropriate. At worst, it is grossly insensitive. I have copied the picture to paste it here, as I expect someone at the Express will have the sense to change it. A place where I discuss various matters. I like to talk and I like to listen. Monday, 1 June 2015. General Election in Burundi. The UK is not the only nation to have a general election this year, and I shall look at one or two other nations with general elections, and explain some of the situations in each of these nations. Burundi, a small land-locked nation in the southern part of Africa, has a parliamentary election scheduled for Friday 5th June June. This has already been postponed from 26. It remain...

The Banbury Man: Fierce Grace
http://thebanburyman.blogspot.com/2015/06/fierce-grace.html
A place where I discuss various matters. I like to talk and I like to listen. Monday, 29 June 2015. In Finchley, a yoga studio has recently opened, and it is called Fierce Grace. I rather like this name. It speaks of putting up with some pain, but all to a good purpose. Eustace, a rather unpleasant boy, has fallen asleep in a dragon’s lair, and wakes up as a dragon. He eventually encounters a lion:. Then the lion said—but I don't know if it spoke—You will have to let me undress you. I was...This, I think...

A place where I discuss various matters. I like to talk and I like to listen. Friday, 24 April 2015. A little train journey. A calm carriage on the 07:50 Milford Haven to Manchester Piccadilly. A telephone rings:. No, I am just on the train now. Yeah, I can talk. It’s dead quiet in here. Did you see her? OMG, what did she say? OMG what a cow, I cannot believe it. Did she really say that! How does her mind work? Shrewbury to Crewe/Amwythig – Cryw. Pan fyddwn yn cyrraedd yno , Tomos? Mewn hanner awr ".

A place where I discuss various matters. I like to talk and I like to listen. Wednesday, 25 February 2015. Lambing 2015 - 8 - The Second Half. Late on Thursday night, another sheep had a vaginal prolapse, which is not a good thing, and she had to have a pessary fitted to hold things in. Three prolapses in one year is particularly unfortunate – these were all older ewes, and this generally results in the words CULL being written across their lambing cards.
