Mostly a recap of my days while restoring my 1964 Jaguar E-Type, however, I reserve the right to comment on anything else that strikes me. Sunday, August 19, 2012. The Big Cat moves. It's Sunday morning, August 19, 2012 and I'm a happy boy. A couple of weeks ago, I was about to bleed the brakes, Mike Darby. Came over and we bled the brakes (I didn't want to bug Mike anymore. ha ha). It went pretty much without a hitch. Just a few leaks where fittings needed to be tightened. Whew! I just didn't like that,...

Mostly a recap of my days while restoring my 1964 Jaguar E-Type, however, I reserve the right to comment on anything else that strikes me. Sunday, July 31, 2011. No humans were injured during the installation of this headliner. I finally convinced several of my good friends to come over and help install the headliner in the Jag. It is notorious for being a difficult job. Rodney McDonald. Noel Eagleson and Michael King were all on hand ready to tackle this task. Trying to eliminate any potential scratches.

Mostly a recap of my days while restoring my 1964 Jaguar E-Type, however, I reserve the right to comment on anything else that strikes me. Wednesday, March 30, 2011. I just got "Noodled". It looked like it was BRAND NEW! It was crystal clear and not a sign of the yellowish tint that it had before. I'm thinking I should have been sticking all the parts in the dishwasher. Give it a try. The mail came today and with it, my reconditioned XJS wood. The grain looks just like a Growler. I almost immediately sta...

Steering wheel’s out. I pulled the steering column out down to the first U-Joint at the firewall. The bushings were crumbled to nothing. Rebushed and ready to go back in. Mostly a recap of my days while restoring my 1964 Jaguar E-Type, however, I reserve the right to comment on anything else that strikes me. Thursday, August 23, 2012. A Big "Thank You". It has one oil leak that is a little annoying, I need to get fixed, an odd "clunk" sound in the rear and I have yet to put the dashtop on. Other than that, I'm calling it finished. Other than Stuart, I have a multitude of others to thank for their help. Rodney McDonald. And expert rebuilder at Coventry West. A Big Thank You.

And the applicator gun and hoses. I heated the can like instructed, but I failed to warm up the frames at all. it was kinda chilly in the garage and I think the Waxoyl just clotted up inside the frames. That made me feel really good. I was finally making some noticeable progress. The Frames are new from E-Type Fabs. Links to this post.
