Connects to Roosevelt road which is considered an arterial street. Designated as a "collector street". The Schaffner and Roosevelt intersection is very narrow. Turning onto Roosevelt can be very challenging, especially when turn left. Residents have complained about the safety of this intersections to our City officials without resolution. Using the Freedom of Information Act, we cannot find any correspondence from Wheaton officials to any other government agency trying to have a street light implemented.

Orchard and Plamondon Roads. Orchard and Plamondon roads intersect near the Prairie path. Just before they meet, there is a curve with 10 mph speed sign. Both Plamondon and Orchard are designated as "collector streets". No sign warning motorist of the Prairie Path prior to turning into the 10 mph curved road. Actual speed limits not enforced.
