According to the Wheaton Police Department, speeds 9 miles over speed limit typically not enforced, giving our neighborhoods an unofficial speed limit of 39 miles per hour. Even when radar is posted and fully visible, 31.1 % of traffic was going over the speed limit. City of Wheaton officials have stated that this is within an acceptable range.
