Thursday, July 23, 2009. Please excuse the graphic nature of this post. At approximately 3:30 this afternoon Benjamin was sitting on my lap after his nap when he turned around and said "go poo poo" after he said it a couple more times I decided to take him up stairs to see if he was serious. HE WAS! I sat him on the toilet told him to go poo poo and after just a minute he pooped! I haven't been so excited in a long time! Who knows whether it will ever happen again, I can only hope! Or ever 1 and a half!

Tuesday, January 12, 2010. Only 4 months 1 week and 2 days to go! How did that happen! First Thanksgiving came, before i knew it Christmas had come and gone, next Benjamin will be turning TWO, and then the wedding! Let the craziness begin! Anyway, here are some pictures from Christmas time. Sorry they are so late. Benjamin wasnt anymore impressed with Santa this year than he was last year. Decorating the gingerbread train. Monday, December 7, 2009. I have finally started to adapt to the nocturnal lifestyle, which seems to be required for my new job. We are there til midnight or 1 AM most nights. Its also been hard trying to get things done during the day before going to work at night. Slowly but surely I am getting used to it. I'm just so thankful to finally be working! Tuesday, December 1, 2009. November was a crazy month for us. First was my 21st birthday which was wonderful! The same day I also accepted a job at Bed Bath and Beyond. Ive been working there now for 2 weeks and it is going very well! He has been limping around pretty pathetically and is soaking up all the sympathy he can get. Wednesday, February 3, 2010. While everyone else in Hampton Roads was excited about the big snow storm Benjamin was recovering from a virus. And the last few days of it were definitely the worst! I think that children get sick every so often just to remind us how wonderful they are when they are not. Benjamin has been sick only a few times and I am very thankful! Kimber was glued to Ben's side while he was under the weather. My lap was quite full with a baby and a dog. Making his first snowman.

Anniversary of the Free Speech Movement, a student uprising that took place in two phases in Berkeley during the fall of 1964. The first phase was the sit-in around the police car, which occurred in October. On the steps of Sproul Hall on December 2, 1964. Curiously, the university that prosecuted the protestors in 1964 now plays up those events in fundraising efforts.

Våg efter våg sköljde över däck och korta regnbyar avlöste varandra, allt medan vinden ven i riggen.
