BlueBlaze is a classic offshore 1986 Contessa 32. In 1994, Willy Ker sailed, mostly singlehanded, his Contessa 32 from his home in England around Cape Horn to Antarctica, then to Russia, Alaska, and on to Vancouver Island where Lars met and sailed with him. Willy made many singlehanded passages to Greenland, the Faroe Islands, and Iceland, His Boat "ASSENT" was made famous in the 1979 Fastnet race when she was the only boat under 35 feet to finish. Intermediate instruction including spinnaker endorsement.

Wednesday, July 20, 2011. Banks Islands - Gaua island (Santa Maria). We spent the afternoon washing hair and applying Head lice Gel on children and adults alike. Alan attended to clinic issues of flu and joint problems etc. A sad moment for Alan and I when visiting Lusalava at Chief William and Bessies village. Adventures sailing "Verboten", our 2001 Catalina Capri 22, in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Saturday, June 21, 2014. Best sailing day ever? Had what may have been our best sailing ever today. Wind was great, Deborah was unfazed, and the boat was apparently tuned just right! The forecast was for about 12 knots, which for Verboten means the main and blade. We set it up and out we went.
