Who are we

In 2002 we sold our home in the Southern Highlands and purchased a small farm just outside of Nimbin, NSW. Over the next few years we built our home and raised our 4 kids. Just as we were settling in our feet began to itch. In 2006 we became the third owners of Saltheart. A 32ft steel Pugh designed. A few months later we were off sailing and exploring the east coast of Australia and making our first offshore passage to PNG.

Monday, November 1, 2010. Hey you, wanna catch up? I know I've been ignoring this little place. I've been putting 1000% in to getting my other blog. Up and running. I also started school again 5 weeks ago, which has a been taking up a bit of my time. I'm also a nanny for this little girl. Homeward Bound in Oz. Amy and Daniel had a ball catching and eating these squid they were a good size too. Amy with a fish she caught with a stick, line and a hook, no flash rods for this little girl. From the Flinders Group our next overnight stop was at Fitzroy Island where we tried to have a look at the aboriginal rock art but couldn't get ashore due to low tide, reef and the swell, maybe next time. The beautiful Watons Bay. Like Father Like Daughter. The not to bad view from the top of Cook's Lookout.

Buy us a beer. Since purchasing Saltheart in 2006, we have had 2 one year cruises on her. In 2007 we sailed up the coast of Queensland to the Louisiade Archipelago in PNG. Then in 2013 we sailed around to Darwin before joining the Darwin to Ambon Race to explore the Maluku Islands. Since that time she has been on the hard at Swan Bay Marine on the Richmond River near Ballina, NSW. In 2016 we decided to make her great again for another cruise in 2018.
