We’re Not In Florida Anymore! | Cruising aboard Brilliant
https://sanctuarycruising.wordpress.com/2015/05/29/were-not-in-florida-anymore
We’re Not In Florida Anymore! Posted by Carl and Carrie. Asymp; 2 Comments. On May 18th we turned north again from the Florida panhandle and finally traveled out of Florida and into Alabama, and the clues were clearly evident that we have passed into a different realm. We have met several genuinely warm and friendly people at the park where we’re staying for the next 3 days, but Toto, we are definitely not in Florida anymore. Larr; Previous post. Next post →. Family | Cruising aboard Brilliant
https://sanctuarycruising.wordpress.com/2015/06/12/family
Posted by Carl and Carrie. Asymp; 2 Comments. One of the biggest pluses of this RVing lifestyle over cruising is the ability to visit our families. We have gone for very long periods over our cruising years without seeing family members. Yes, some would visit us and once Carrie flew off to see her sons, but mostly we didn’t get to see them and seeing them is much bettermuch, much better. My cousin and her husband also live in the Nashville area and getting to see them was another real treat. They hav...
It’s Not a Vacation | Cruising aboard Brilliant
https://sanctuarycruising.wordpress.com/2015/08/11/its-not-a-vacation
It’s Not a Vacation. Posted by Carl and Carrie. Asymp; Leave a comment. Our goal for this first part of the trip after seeing family was to attend the Bluegrass Festival and then visit Maine during their abbreviated summer months. After living in Seattle for years I’ve always wanted to visit Maine to compare the two ends of the country as they lie along the same latitude, and we were never able to get there by sailboat while we Cruised. Fulltime RVing is a lifestyle. Duh! Larr; Previous post. Create a fr...
How Many Ways | Cruising aboard Brilliant
https://sanctuarycruising.wordpress.com/2015/05/28/how-many-ways
Posted by Carl and Carrie. Asymp; 2 Comments. Of this month (May) it has been 9 years that Carrie and I have been married. When I think about that it seems at the same time like the blink of an eye and like we’ve been together our whole lives. Some things have changed about our relationship but mostly we still act like we just met and still enjoy just being around one another. During the periods of our Cruising Life when we had to go back to work and replenish the Cruising Kitty , I have found the time w...

This slideshow requires JavaScript. Carrie and I met online at Match.com in 2004 sharing a common passion for sailing and the Cruising lifestyle. We fell in love and courted long distance (DC to FLA) planning our break from the working grind to cruise the waters of the US East Coast, Bahamas and into the Caribbean. These are our adventures and memories. Thought on “About Us”. August 16, 2011 at 12:03 pm. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Address never made public).

Cruising with Mr Mac: March 2015
http://sailmrmac.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Cruising with Mr Mac. Cruising with Mr Mac. Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Beautiful snow-covered fields at Chase Farms as we return from checking out the sugar maples. Heading out to see the tapped trees. There was a bite in the air and snow on the ground, but it was nice and warm inside where they had lots of tasty maple treats for sale. Can you say “warm donut with maple icing”? Lots of buckets on the sugar maples. Plastic spigot used to collect the sap. Boiling the sap in the wood-fired evaporator.

Monday, September 19, 2016. Its our New Year. October seems to be our January. we left the states in October of 2014 and we have returned a few weeks before in 2016 but it is only temporary. We left our beloved Saga Sea in the Rio Dulce Guatemala. she gets to rest. she is being well taken care of by Oscar at Tijax Marina. So we left Thursday morning and flew to Costa Rica on Avianca Airline and had no problem with Schooner . and she was perfect. And Customs was very impressed by Schooner's behavior.

Sailing Saga Sea : Finca Paraiso
http://sailingsagasea.blogspot.com/2016/09/finca-paraiso.html
Thursday, September 1, 2016. We visited a local tourist sight. Finca El. Finca Paraiso is a private property near Rio Dulce that’s well known as a local daytime hangout. The property boasts plenty of shaded and cool riverside areas, a few natural hot springs with water reaching about 40 ºC (100 ºF). We also went to a market in El Estor and took a canyon tour. it was a lovely day. I thought I would share the pictures. Ellen @ The Cynical Sailor. September 3, 2016 at 7:23 AM. Looks like a great outing!

part II, Traveling Light:: Casa Quirky
http://sailcelebration.blogspot.com/2015/02/casa-quirky.html
Part II, Traveling Light:. Where we go off to see the world, sailing on other people's boats. Meanwhile, a company that had been contracted months ago to clean up the house and yard before the auction, showed up and took all the trash, brush, old appliances, AND the crap-pile outdoor kitchen! How much stuff could there possibly be, you ask? It took 3 guys almost 4 days. We saw them at the house when they were working, but didn't happen mention that the auction had already taken place. 3/8/15, 11:26 AM.
part II, Traveling Light:: 07.2013
http://sailcelebration.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Part II, Traveling Light:. Where we go off to see the world, sailing on other people's boats. A really cool thing. Steve timed it perfectly and it was an amazing day. We entered the East river, going under the Throgs Neck bridge, it was our first view of Manhattan. Sailing school, just past the bridge. There were beautiful, expensive homes all along the river. Yes, that is a float plane in the garage. Another barge, this one looks like a residence with indoor and outdoor space. Going through Hell Gate.

Sanctuary Crew Gaming
Who’s On Mumble. Tales from the Creature Keeper. Episode 1: Trapped in Town. Episode 2.5: Survival Critters. On June 25th, 2015. It seemed like the future of console gaming was getting closer to the bastion of the PC. Sure I and others figured there would be exceptions for things like online only experiences such as MMO’s, and really once this generation got rolling it seems for the most part to be delivered as promised. Until recently. Are we really still needing to do this? On June 25th, 2015. The grap...

Sanctuary Cruising | Exploring the USA
Posted by Carl and Carrie. Asymp; Leave a comment. Correction: In my blog about Maine I incorrectly stated that REI sponsored the buses around Mt. Desert Island and the National Park. It is L. L. Bean. Sorry and thanks to Jon D. for pointing that out. Cheers! What has made the most prized memories of our trip to date? We knew they were going to be in the Boston area at Hanscom AFB but didn’t know if we’d see them, but when we pulled in and set up camp, they were in the space right behind us. Hanging ...
