Round Robins for Quilters. Wednesday, July 15, 2015. Here it is. The Big Reveal! Note: edited to correct the quilters for Sandra's quilt! As always, Blogger has defeated my attempts to present these in alphabetical order, but as long as all the quilts are right-side up, I'm not going to stress. With no further ado, here are the 2015 results! This was Catherine's starting block. And the quilt finished by Jay, Laurina and Tami. Here is Cathy A's center block. And the quilt made by Terry, Marie, and Cathy L.

The Darling Dogwood: August 2016
http://thedarlingdogwood.blogspot.com/2016_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 31, 2016. Here, Fishy Fishy! I was inspired by this quilt. By Cathy from Sane, Crazy, Crumby Quilting. She used her leftover "crumbs" to make blue fish. I knew I wanted my fish to be all colors. I've been saving leftover pieces of my I Spy fabrics for a while. I color sorted them and then just went to town! I'm calling that success! After all, what good is an I Spy quilt if you don't play I Spy? Goal setter #35). This quilt was also on my list of Q3 goals. This is seriously one of my fa...

Stitches and Ditches: Key Chain Tutorial
http://stitchesandditches.blogspot.com/2013/02/key-chain-tutorial.html
Trying to find a way of squeezing more minutes and smiles out of my day. Wednesday, February 20, 2013. Old jeans from the scrap bag cut into 2½"x14½" strips. I happen to be fortunate to live with a couple of XXXL guys and I have found that you can get 14 to 15 key chains per pant leg, but really, if they're in the scrap bag, does it matter? Feel good about that! Focus fabric cut to 2½" x 14¼". Steam a Seam Lite or similar fusible cut to 7/8" x 14". 1¼" swivel snap hook. Now its time to slip the snap hook...

The Cotton Robin: Safe and sound
http://cottonrobin.blogspot.com/2015/07/safe-and-sound.html
Round Robins for Quilters. Wednesday, July 8, 2015. And my lovely piece landed in my mailbox safe and sound today as well. Great job, ladies - everyone has carried on with my somewhat limited palette choices in the starter block, but it totally works, and the quilting suits the quilt very well - I've got it up on the wall (actually, a door) already and am very pleased with how it came out! Thanks to all who worked on it. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The blocks will be distributed by February 10.

Backyard Jungle | Little Orphan Stitch
https://littleorphanskein.wordpress.com/2015/06/07/backyard-jungle
Formerly Little Orphan Skein. Behind our garage, leading into the house or into the backyard, is an enclosed breezeway/porch. A previous owner planted a holly bush and some flowers along the outside of the breezeway. We’ve spent most of our landscaping time on the front and side yards and in the apple orchard in the backyard, so this section has been neglected. Armed with pruning shears, hedge clippers, a hand saw, and random other tools, we tackled the jungle. Not any more though! And tagged house update.
