When we are called to be different. June 10, 2011. Day 5 – 6/10/11. 7 Poverty of Civic Involvement:. Lack of community cooperation. Scarcity vs. Abundance. Well today concluded our final day of work. We successfully renovated these two homes so that they seem brand new. I just want to sum up some things that I have thought through out the week that have been on my heart. When we are called to be different. June 8, 2011. Day 3 – 6/8/11. 3 Poverty of Affection:. Lack of love, and inappropriate feelings. Selfishness vs. Love. 4 Poverty of the Will. Slavery vs. Freedom. 1 tender, passionate affection. 2 strong personal liking. 3 person toward whom love is felt. 4 to have love (for). Love is more than a feeling, it is an action. The word Love is overused, but also underused. Sometimes we use it so much it loses its meaning. Yet sometimes it is a foreign word to us.

When we are called to be different. June 7, 2011. Day 2 – 6/7/11. 8 forms of poverty. Lack of a relationship with God. Religiosity vs. Christian Life. Lack of access to knowledge and misinformation. A Lie vs. the Truth. Of the 8, these are the first two. Of course the most important is a relationship with God. This is the worst thing a person can lack in life. This life now is only temporary but the chance to spend eternity with God is something you don’t want to miss. Be taught from a text book. I’...

April 24, 2012. 10 years ago, I was playing basketball at a church camp in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. I don’t remember much about the church camp, except for the fact that I was playing basketball against some high schoolers that thought they were really cool beating a 13 year old in basketball…at a church camp. 4 years later, Jay started speaking at my home church and we got to ...

Missing An Arrow… | The Last Stone Dropper
https://alexbuchner.wordpress.com/2010/11/23/missing-an-arrow
The Last Stone Dropper. 8220;being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last.”. Missing An Arrow…. November 23, 2010. Today I had a rekindling in my heart. I picked up a book I read 7 years ago, and begged a good friend of mine to read it. He shrugged it off because he “isn’t much of a reader”, and I found myself angry, wanting to defend this book with my entire heart. This book represents so many wonderful things to me. I lent this book out. He told o...
