Aunt B's Cooking Blog: June 2009
http://auntbcookblog.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Aunt B's Cooking Blog. Random postings about that stuff we can't live without. Monday, June 29, 2009. So I guess it's officially summer. Besides, all the signs are here. The markets are overflowing with gorgeous produce, making it pretty difficult to screw up a great summer salad. I visited my pals at my local seafood market, Pier 46. And picked up a nice chunk of Salmon to grill. This is great and has all natural ingredients. So, the dinner is this:. Corn and Tomato Salad. Serves 4 to 6. 1 Tbsp olive oil.

Aunt B's Cooking Blog. Random postings about that stuff we can't live without. Wednesday, December 9, 2009. I HAVE been cooking. Shame on me. I was fairly consistent with recipe updates then it just trickled off. I aspire to get back in the swing of things. I do seem to continue taking pictures of food, in the event I want to post. So I happen to have a backlog of recipes and dishes to share. Only thing is a few of them may now be off season. Oh well. Beet and Carrot Pancakes. 1 cup thinly sliced onion.

Aunt B's Cooking Blog. Random postings about that stuff we can't live without. Thursday, July 30, 2009. Now that I've been doing this for a couple months, I've noticed a theme. Lots of fish, chicken and salads on this thing. We actually do eat a fair amount of red meat, but those recipes/dishes seem to be so basic that I don't bother putting them here. Grilled steaks and asparagus, simple salad.that type of thing. But this blog is also supposed to be about what's FUN to eat, right? 1 1/2 Tbsp EVOO. Prepa...

What to do with a beautiful head of Boston lettuce and a pound of chicken.Lettuce Wraps! I thought I'd made enough for left overs but there was none left. This would be a very simple recipe to make ahead of time for guests and serve as appetizers. The chicken filling can be made and just quickly rewarmed to serve in a bowl alongside the lettuce wraps. Aunt B's Cooking Blog. Random postings about that stuff we can't live without. Thursday, December 10, 2009. There are plenty of holiday parties on the near horizon. This year, I like the idea that I'm a guest and not doing the planning. All I need to worry about is what to wear. I'm a little behind this year. Let's just say.the tree is STILL not up! The liquor in these is tequila but I serve them as though they were martinis- straight up. 1 1/2 cups 1-inch chunks rindless watermelon. 3 Tb Simple Syrup*.
